I have been going here for probably 2 years or more now. Karaoke is usually the big draw, but I have also been to other venues as well...I am Irish! It has a lot of historic artifacts on display concerning the plight of the Molly Maguire's relating to how they fought back against the industrial forces concerning the mistreatment of coal miners. They were a Unionized Labor Force that fought long and hard against those in Power in the Coal Mining Industry in Pennsylvania. They probably played a big role in how Labor Laws were established to help protect the American Workers against mistreatment or unfair business practices relating to employment...they should never be forgotten and thanked for their sacrifices!
As I said, found a great place to go to relax and unwind. I have made so many friends just like me...we love to sing! The staff usually takes care of Business as they should, making good food and keeping everyone “watered”. When you can’t decide on where to go sometime, consider stopping by even if you don’t sing Karaoke. You will probably enjoy those that do, and maybe you’ll discover that Altoona has a lot of talented singers. Best of all, you will probably get educated from the things you see or read about the Molly’s. Maybe you’ll discover that the U.S. has had its share of injustices against its own people in the past, this was something that was again against another ethnic group...the Irish!
Call it "Industrial Greed" that made it happen, but the “Luck of the Irish” made that Greed...“Green with Envy”! They found that when people band together as a force against injustice, Industry can’t survive without those people! Making it right took a lot of effort on both sides and a lot of lives were lost. We continue to employ those efforts throughout the world today against Governments that continue to employ the mistreatment of people. Was is Hell...just remember that fighting back is what we have to do sometimes in order to enjoy our Freedom! Thanks to the Molly's, and a special thanks to those that continue fighting for those Freedoms for all of us! God Bless each and every one of them!!!
Hope to see you...

What Molly’s have…are my young-time friends from years ago, personalities that are off the chart, and Denny has been so great in helping a neighbor out during the winter months! Best people ever, they care about everyone, and it shows! I’ve missed them for a few weeks, but will see them soon. Michelle, Denny, and the others, are super at providing the best service ever. Someone mentioned a bar like “Cheers!” It was 69 years ago, and throughout the years, and it still is today! Great place to feel safe! You will meet the greatest people at...
Read moreIt's a wonderful little Pub. They have a fireplace and a piece of The Blarney Stone at the base. The owners Claudia and John are outstanding people. The food is excellent and they treat you like family. I love their Irish nights. The first and th'rd Thursday's of the month. Full Kilt Band on the first. A really fun filled evening. The th'rd Thursday is the Michael O'Brian Band. These two are a little risque but I really enjoy them and their music. Both bands include the audience in the music. Stop in and say hello. Unfortunately children can not go in at anytime because it is a smoking bar. But us adults have...
