Playmakers Sports Bar — Restaurant in Altoona

Service and everything was great. Apparently they don’t serve food on Tuesday nor Wednesday. Nothing anywhere on their website, Facebook or anywhere in the place says that. We were only informed after we ordered drinks. Multiple people came in while we were there asking for food menus. I understand this is a newer place, but it’s been open for months. I wouldn’t have wasted time driving there to find parking and walk to the location if I had known.

Great Experience & place to hang out. Incredibly friendly staff (owner, bartender, & chef)! The food was a Grand Slam & next level. Cheese sauce for the pretzel sticks earned the extra point. 😋 (my husband loved the mustard dip as well). Wings were GREAT! The Cuban, great flavor & oh so good! Get the coleslaw. Yes, coleslaw deserves a shout out it was that good. Drinks: Nice selection of Taps & my Bloody Mary was fantastic(I am picky). Friendly, great atmosphere, & good food - yep we will be back! Several of us including my dog went there after an event at the River Prairie Center. Lorena and the bartender (sorry, didn’t catch her name) were absolutely wonderful to us. It was great that they let me bring my dog in and even brought her water. We were a bunch of old friends catching up and we were treated so well. Lots of good beers on tap as well.

They didn’t have food so I didn’t rate that but it was still just a great time. They’re fairly new but...
