To start off, I really wanted to like this place. The staff seemed friendly and the cashier was polite towards us. We ordered three sandwiches. Two Turkey & Bacon Ranch, and a Steak & Cheese (no mushrooms). While waiting at one of the tables, we had plenty of time to look around the brand new restaurant. The tables and floor were dirty. Chairs not pushed in on several of the tables. Not too many people inside the restaurant, but the drive-thru was piling up. The workers seemed confused or nervous, but still managed to joke and try to keep the mood lighthearted. Thirty-five minutes later, we got our food (to go) and were ready to get out of there, get home and eat our delicious sandwiches. Neither of our Turkey & Bacon Ranch sandwiches had any bacon, and couldn't taste any ranch. Although we ordered the Steak & Cheese with no mushrooms, our sandwich came with mushrooms. The sandwiches were still pretty good, although if we ever decide to eat at this restaurant again we will dine in for a hot and fresh meal (our sandwiches were a bit cold and soggy from our drive home, which was our fault and to be expected). My advice to the Alvin Firehouse Subs restaurant manager and employees: 1.) Keep your restaurant clean. 2.) Learn how to make your sandwiches how they're intended to be made, as advertised and sold. 3.) Show a little more professionalism and pride while working. 4.) Keep up the friendly greetings and vibes from all of employees that I saw tonight. Every one of you has great potential. New place, new job, new things to get use to? I get all that. Just need to step it up and turn this place into the booming business that it deserves. I wish you all the best and hope to see some...
Read moreI stopped in for the first time and ordered me a meatball sub and a tuna sub I explained what I wanted on them the tuna was lettuce tomatoes pickles and olives and all that I wanted on a meatball was Parmesan cheese for some reason the girl put provolone cheese on there after I previously asked her for parmesan like a sprinkle cheese after the fact she says we don't have sprinkle cheese so she elected to put whatever cheese are her choosing on my meatball sub so the guy was making the tuna sub her head repeat four times lettuce tomatoes pickles and black olives and he finally got that sub done I ain't looked at it yet but I ate a meatball sub with meatball sub is good but they need to listen to the customer what they want on the sandwich not what they want to put on a sandwich he automatically started to shake some additional stuff on my sandwich and I don't do pepper salt or whatever that stuff that we're going to put on a meatball sub it's not an automatic they should listen to the customer and put what the customer wants it no the place was clean and no customers in there about a good 10 minutes to get two sandwiches out with no other customers in the building just to let you...
Read moreI ordered through uber eats to have my order delivered. When it was delivered, there were items missing, that I had paid for. When I called the restaurant and informed them of my missing items, the girl I spoke with, Sara, responded with "oops, I guess I read the order wrong."... I then asked what they were going to do about my missing items, and she said "you're more than welcome to drive over here and get it at no charge." I was shocked and asked her if it was their policy to make their customers go out of their way to fix their mistakes!!? All she said back was "sorry for the inconvenience."!! I'm so disappointed in the customer service and lack of willingness to fix the situation, on top of my children missing half of their meals. This was my 1st, and now last, time ordering from this location.
P.S. all the subs were ice cold and soggy, also. Thoroughly...
