Pizza by the Sea at Seacrest Beach — Restaurant in Alys Beach

Here's the story....

My daughter and I walk in to place a carry out order. I place mine....1 pizza. There's a person behind me that places his order, then my daughter places her order...2 pizzas. I'm told, it'll be ready in 30 minutes. About 25 minutes later my daughters order comes out as well as the guy that was between our orders. The "manager" tells my daughter my order slip was printed after hers so it'll just be a little longer. I wait 10 more minutes and then ask the manager the status of my order. She explains that my order didn't print and that it will be up "any minute"...code talk for we just started making it. I wait 5 minutes more. Keep in mind now that the pizzas for my daughters family have now been the box waiting to be taken home for 20 minutes. I decide to just cancel the order and make something back home so my daughter's pizza doesn't get even colder! I walk up front and say I would just like to cancel my order and just get a refund. At this point the "manager" yells to the back of the store, "HEY...TOSS THAT HALF AND HALF IN THE TRASH HE WANTS A REFUND!!" Class act to be sure. She THEN decides to take this opportunity to teach a new hire how to do a credit. Which means I'm there even longer as she explains the entire process and walks the new hire through it.

At THE LEAST the "manager" could have apologized for the inconvenience and/or offered a free pizza on my next order or anything but...nope...not even a hint to make it right.

it's too bad. It was the first day of our vacation and having a pizza place close by, they would have received a lot of business....

Overall, it was a pretty horrible experience. The pizza was very weird, the service was not good, and the location is small with no restroom.

We ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and "The Father" Sandwich. Don't get me wrong - the sandwich was good despite them being out of lettuce. The pizza however, was horrible. It was extremely thin and crunchy - it was almost like eating a chip with pizza toppings. You couldn't even separate the slices. Hardly any sauce, and just hardly any flavor. The other people I was with were also not impressed but the food. They also completely forgot one person's spaghetti that we wound up waiting like an hour for.

Service was pretty bad. It took a very long time to get all the food and they even forgot an order. Staff was not very engaging about it either. They were out of bread sticks and lettuce. Also, 60 dollars for a pizza, sandwich, and 1 soft drink is OUTRAGEOUS.

The facilities were okay. It was small, with no restrooms. It was also pretty packed, so it just felt crammed.

Incredible pizza! Went two days in a row after discovering this place. Our favorites were the Italian sausage pizza and the meatball sub, both delicious! The kitchen was good about getting our food out at a reasonable time each time. The second day we went close to closing and dined in and they didn't try to rush us out at all. Our only complaint was that they do not offer customer restrooms, which is something I have never seen before! Anytime someone asks to use their restrooms they give you a code for restrooms at other private establishments that they legally are not allowed to be using. When we tried to use this code it didn't even work. We asked them once again to use their restroom and told her the code didn't work and the girl still wouldn't let us use their's because they don't allow customers to walk through the kitchen. So if you have to use the restroom while dining at this establishment, then you are out of luck. Hopefully they fix this problem, because it's an incredible...
