Our stay at The Pearl Hotel in Rosemary Beach was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth, care, and exceptional service from every member of the team. The hospitality here is bar none — truly some of the best we’ve ever experienced.||The valet team — Jack, Filip, Tom, Colin, Dalton, and every other member we encountered — made us feel immediately welcome. Their kindness and professionalism were unmatched.||The concierge staff, especially Abigail and Fin, were knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always eager to help us make the most of our time. Every question we had was met with genuine interest and care.||At the pool, we were blown away by the attentiveness of Chris, Gar, and Emmanuel. Daily rainstorms rolled in around 3 p.m., and each time, they quickly and carefully safeguarded all our belongings with such grace — never missing a beat.||On the beach, Cooper, Austin, Kaleil, and Joseph were happy to accommodate our party of four with extra chairs and umbrellas. Their cheerful energy and willingness to help made each beach day seamless and stress-free.||Our room was perfection, thanks to the incredible work of Dominga, Mayra, and Manuel. Every detail was immaculate, and the sweet little treats left behind each day were such a thoughtful (and delicious!) surprise.||The only area that didn’t quite meet the high bar set by the rest of the hotel was the on-site restaurant — and, frankly, the surrounding restaurants didn’t impress much either. As Cuban American foodies, we found the menu underwhelming. The flavors and overall quality didn’t reflect the level of excellence found elsewhere at The Pearl. That said, Will, our server, was an absolute standout — warm, attentive, and professional. After a cold, overcooked steak and fries (which I sent back), he quickly brought me a Caesar salad that was actually quite tasty. He’s a gem and deserves a menu that matches his service.||Honestly, we think a thoughtful F&B overhaul could be transformational — welcoming in more diverse palates and elevating The Pearl to an even more sought-after destination. The potential is there.||One final thought — and a recommendation I hope makes it to the right people (Abigail, we’re looking at you!). During my daily morning beach walks, I noticed how much trash was left behind from the day or night before. The Pearl is perfectly positioned to lead a community-driven “Protect Our Beaches” initiative. Picture this: beautifully designed, Pearl-branded paper (or compostable plastic) bags available to guests and visitors, who can help clean up the shoreline. In return, they receive a complimentary app, cocktail, or mocktail at the Pearl. It’s a small effort with a big impact — one that would further The Pearl’s legacy of care and stewardship. ||You could call it “Pearl Patrol” – Clean the beach, earn a treat, or maybe “Bag It for a Benefit”? We think the 30A community would happily get behind a program like this.||In summary, the Pearl Hotel is a true gem, and your stay will be exceptional — no matter what.||With gratitude,|Michelle, Katie, Laura,...
Read moreMy experience at Spa Pearl was downright bizarre! For context, my husband and I were staying down the road on 30A and thought a couples massage would be the perfect way to end our trip. We love getting massages and probably get about 10 a year, anywhere from deluxe at the Four Seasons to a small, local boutique place - all that to say, I know experiences and amenities vary - but the Pearl was truly unlike anything I've experienced. After being greeted in the hotel lobby, we made our way to the elevators where we saw a large sign saying the spa was under construction and temporarily located on the 3rd floor. This was immediately disappointing in the sense that I had been on the website and spoken to several individuals on the phone and no one had made mention of the fact that the spa was not in its usual form, but they were charging (what I assume are) regular prices. (The website did have a pop-up immediately when you went to their site stating the Pool Deck and Havana Beach Rooftop were closed through the spring). (*If I did pay a discounted price, that should be well stated so that I know you are compensating for your lousy spa experience.) Anyway, back to the lobby - I thought - well, maybe they will still WOW! us considering how nice the hotel appears and the general aesthetic of 30A. Hold on tight. We were brought to a makeshift hotel room that had a few massage tables propped up in the center. We were called back 2 minutes before our service and instructed to change and lay on the table - no robe, no slippers, no relaxing sitting area, no dreamy spa music. I hurried to change, seeing as I had 2 minutes... and got on the table. The massage itself was average at best and not anywhere near the quality I have experienced at similar hotels. There is really nothing more to say about it other than I was relieved I only booked a 50 minute service, instead of longer - not really the feeling you want when paying for a $170 service. The most bizarre part of the experience is that my massage therapist wore gloves throughout the service. Now, I realize you do not have a visual of me, but I am a mid-30s, well kept, fit individual, with nice, clean skin. There is absolutely no reason for her to wear gloves - and it made for quite a distracting experience due to the... texture and weird noise. When I was laying on my back, she used a folded up pillow case to cover my eyes. These things are just WEIRD! Like, where are the very basics? When we wrapped up, I asked if I could use the restroom - where I found a Costco size jug of Dawn dishsoap to use as a handsoap. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place. If I received a gift card here, I would enthusiastically throw it in the dumpster....
Read moreUPDATE: since posting the original review - the hotel has attempted to make the situation right financially speaking, and will attempt to move our room to another room away from the pool if something becomes available (there is another wedding happening during our stay). Abigail, while limited in what she can do for us, has tried to do what she can. In speaking with some of the other staff anonymously, this appears to be an ongoing issue (noise at the pool into the evening hours due to large events taking place - with complaints not only from guests - but even being called in from neighboring buildings).
Our stay at The Pearl Hotel has been deeply disappointing, particularly given the hotel’s reputation as a high-end property. One of the most alarming incidents occurred when hotel staff attempted to enter our adjoining suite without any prior notice or phone call. Our four-month-old son was sleeping inside, and we were understandably startled and alarmed. The reason? A concerning noise was reported coming from the room — which turned out to be nothing more than his white noise machine. There was absolutely no excuse for them to attempt entry without first contacting us. It was frightening and completely inappropriate, and the staff did nothing to make up for the experience despite how serious and unsettling it was.
The issues didn’t stop there. On our second night, a loud wedding took place directly outside our room, with music blasting until 9:30 p.m. When we called the front desk to complain about the noise — as we were struggling to get our baby to sleep — we were told we “should have received” notification about the event. We received no such notice. Worse, the staff said there was nothing they could do, and they could not even ask the event to turn the volume or bass down. Clearly (and unfortunately) they care more about appeasing the wedding with a large catering spend versus guests on leisurely travel.
This hotel is clearly not kid-friendly, and families should be aware. There was no transparency about private (and loud) events in advance of our stay, and the overall guest experience seemed to be treated as an afterthought. For a property at this price point, this level of disregard is unacceptable.
We absolutely do not recommend The Pearl Hotel for families. Also note the pool onsite is not available to anyone under 18 years of age (also something that is not easily determined in the...
