I had been referred by family to eat there. They know I HATE cilantro so don't know why they referred me there, but anyway. After tasting the salsa, I asked if the had any without cilantro? NO! Does your pico have cilantro? Yes! Can they fix me some without cilantro? NO. Ok how bout the queso? Does it have cilantro? No! Does it have jalapeños? NO. Can you bring me some jalapeños? Hole or chopped?? I said chopped or I can do it here to add to food. Not very customer friendly for me!! I think it would be so easy to start the sauce, take some out then add all the cilantro they want. If the meal starts out like that, it just goes downhill from there. It was a fair chill rellano. Don thought all his food was good. Guess I'm a picky eater. After all,I spent almost 18 years of my life eating in the officers dining room at the local prison. So what do I know.. the waitress was a cool. Could be my requests but only want what I like & not what I don't like. I probably won't go back there just like Tacos Garcia on Ross or...
Read moreDon't come here after 8pm thinking they're open, even though Google and their own business website say they're open till 9pm. I got there at about 8:15pm and was going to order food to go but I'm assuming they saw me and my kids and decided they didn't want our business because one of the girls told me they were closed. I mentioned it says online they're open till 9 and then left. I assume they figured me and my kids would stay to long or be to much of a hassle for them to clean up after. Had they been willing to have me as a customer during their listed open hrs they would had known that I was only ordering for myself (my kids already had dinner) and I was taking it to go.
I ended up driving across town to Flamingos, whose business hrs also say they're open till 9pm. I got there at 9:35pm and they were happy to serve me. I got my food AND...
Read moreNice stop and don't be fooled by the building. Most restaurants like this are usually a great find. For those traveling through the Amarillo area this place is easy to get too from I40 just exit Grand and go south about 1/4 mile and its on the right. Great & friendly service.
The chips were crisp and good, had two salsa one red a bit spicy on the afterwards and the green chili salsa. Both were fresh and great. My wife had the fajitas special is was plenty for her. Meat was tender and flavored well. I had the cheese enchiladas with chili con sauce and absolutely loved that chili con sauce. Could've had more of that sauce for my chips and rice lol. Rice was tender and great as well. You can't beat the price....both ate for $15.96. Impressive especially on a budget or big family. Would recommend...
