Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Amarillo

Worst fast food experience ever! Another time before they couldn't hear me on the drive up speaker, and said sorry can't hear you. We'll be out for your order, lol! Took so long had to go through the drive thru! This time drive thru, young girl wasn't listening well! Took forever to get the order in, could barely hear her, talked to softly!! Didn't get my order for onion rings when I got to the window, thought I heard her say it during frustratingly long order process! Then took forever to get a few crummy onion rings, didn't taste very good, and small order very small!! Lots of cars were behind me! It was like they had to slice the onions, and batter them! It was wrong for it to take so long, and hold up the whole line! They could have asked me to pull over so other customers can get there orders! They acted like little snobby, racist, rich kids that didn't need a job! I tooted the horn, asked Phillip if the onion rings were ready. He had them in his hand and said they are now! I told him we won't be back again! We had a few words! Asked about manager, he said he is, lol! Hard to believe, guess it's hard to find good help these days! Need better training and hiring practices!! Service has improved this...

I would rather eat a live rattlesnake head first than visit this sonic again. (Note to Google... add negative star ratings!) I am furious. Sonic made me very disappointed last time I visited for a quick dinner (see my last sonic review) but my wife loves the lemon berry slush. After a long hot day at work I took my beloved wife to get her favorite drink to cool off. I figured Sonic can't be so bad that they can bungle one of their signature drinks, my previous dinner sure but something as simple as a drink? Wrong. They bring her a frozen lemonade, I politely explain the mistake, tip the car hop (I'm sure it wasn't her fault) and wait patiently. The drink returns... that's right, the same drink, frozen lemonade! Only this time some cost saving super employee had the genius idea that if you add 2 strawberries to a frozen lemonade that some how makes it a lemon berry slush. Please pardon my ramblings... my wife is very special to me. I wanted to treat her to a simple drink that may make her rough day a little smoother. Thank you Sonic for showing me that I should have boycotted your horrible food chain. I would rather eat a live rattlesnake than ever visit...

Pulled in here around 3:40pm on Saturday, September. 7. It wasn't too busy in the stalls; there was a decent line in drive-thru, but not terrible. We pulled into a stall where the screen said "In the Kitchen", so we had to pull into another where the button didn't work...and another. Finally found a stall where the button did work. Ordered ONE Route 44 Drink. Over the course of the next 15 minutes, we saw several people who were parked in stalls leave without receiving anything, and plenty of cars that passed through the drive-thru clearly receiving their orders. As a matter of fact, we never even saw an actual carhop. After a good 20 minute wait at our stall for our ONE DRINK, with the on-screen indicator saying it was still "In the Kitchen", we decided to leave without our order. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND this Sonic Drive-In. Want quality food and service and close to Grand Street?....go to STARS Drive-In, just down...
