Very delicious and authentic Mexican food. It's one of those "hole in the wall" restaurants, where it may look questionable, but serves some good dishes!
I always like to ask for the favorite or most purchased food item on the menu. The lady that took my order was real knowledgeable about the food, and gave me a ranking based on what people come in and usually order. So I wanted the first on her list, which was (I believe it was the Quesabirria tacos) menu item #26. They were very delicious, the meat was cooked perfectly, and it wasn't overly greasy which happens often in establishments. It came with a red sauce to dip the tacos in, and it didn't have any strong flavors, but it complimented the meat by making it juicier!
Now for the cons (going back to my "hole in the wall" remark). Walking in I immediately noticed that it was kind of dark, and several of the light fixtures were completely broken. There were many cameras that were pretty obvious and a couple tv's that were not turned on. I couldn't see into the kitchen area, but just looking up at the menu there were several flies, that I also encountered while eating my tacos. The paint job in this establishment is pretty odd, theres an orange stripe that circles the ceiling in one room and then yellow walls everywhere else. Restroom was clean, but the paint was cracked and the toilet handle did not work.
I would definitely come back to eat here as my tacos were superb! However the lack of cleanliness made me a little nervous about what I...
Read moreI categorized this place as a Mexican fast food restaurant. I ordered the combination plate that includes two meats, spanish rice, refried beans, and a choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose barbacoa and lengua with the flour tortillas. My wife chose the taco plate, it comes with three choice of meat tacos, beans, and spanish rice. The tortillas are ok if you keep them wrapped up and don't open the foil. Once opened, they will turn hard slowly if not eaten in an ample amount of time. The rice is dry, bland, and tasted grainy/earthy. They do have very good drinks a variety. A very good assortment of salsa and / or chile sauces. Both plates had very good tasting meat. There was a limited amount of seating for the large incoming number of people, but I guess it was just fine for everyone. They have a drive up and plenty of parking space. If you bring kids that like Mexican food, it's a good place. I didn’t see any toddler or a child's menu. You order off an overhead board. They bring you the order to your table. The beans are ok. They just need some doctoring with the salsa bar. Great presentation on the plate. If you're in a hurry and very hungry, it may be worth a try, but not a sit back and relax kinda place. My opinion. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional. They do take care of what you...
Read moreThis review is for breakfast ,but I have had plenty of other menu items, and they are all to rave about, I'm sorry I don't have any photos of those items, but w getting new phones, seems that's u can get almost everything transferred except all your photos, but if you happen to be in the vicinity, you should stop and try 1 of the many items available on the menu!! But lately I've just been ordering breakfast burritos, you can choose your meats or get a combination of all the meats, which is the route I go . The burritos have, eggs, chorizo, sausage, bacon, cheese, they are very big for the small price they cost! and they have fresh condiments available also, It can at times take a minute to get your food, but that just means they make it fresh, but a lil wait won't kill anyone, plus you deserve to just relax if you go inside in a nice air conditioned building, or get your day situation if your in the drive thru, I highly recommend if your looking for some place that you haven't tried before or on a budget!! Be safe, have fun, make...
