Texas Chicken Bowl — Restaurant in Amarillo

One star! I decided to try this place out on my way through because my family wanted something new to try. It was WAY out of the way for one but we thought it would be worth it if the food was good and we could take a break from driving. When we finally found Texas Chicken Bowl, we discovered it is rundown, in a bad part of town, and there were no vehicles in the parking lot. There was a sign on the door but I didn't want to even stop to read it. I was worried my truck would get broken into, Looks sketchy. And it was closed. No, it was NOT the weekend, it was a Thursday.

Absolutely amazing!!

To the person go chose to not come here because of the area of town, you REALLY missed out on some amazing food.

The rice was really good, the egg rolls were awesome (and I normally hate egg rolls), the sweet and sour sauce was very flavorful, the beef and broccoli has a slight kick, but it was great!!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. Sometimes the small places in a weird area of town happen to be great...

With most restaurants in Amarillo now open at 100% capacity, this one is limited to a drive up window. The outside menu boards are very faded with most of the prices being unreadable. I pointed that out to the owner and he informed me that the menu is available online. In any case, the food and portions were still good...
