Thai Menu — Restaurant in Amarillo

Really wanted this to be my new pho spot as that is my all time favorite food. Left severely disappointed and angry, the only thing that did not dissapoint was the mango drink and even then the Boba was way too much.

The pho, normally I love a dark broth pho as its usually richer and more flavorful, that was not the case here, it was pretty much just salty with not much flavor, gave my boyfriend a headache and he couldn't finish his broth like he normally would. I didn't even want to take it home for later as something tasted weird about the broth, maybe too much msg? Pho doesn't even need msg... and the meat was disappointing, not very much at all, 2 peices of disgusting fatty brisket which is normally my favorite part, and no meatballs when the menu stated it came with meatballs, now we get to my biggest issue. I requested extra onions (which I did not even get) and limes for our pho and they charged us an extra $6 per bowl for this as "extra proteins" did not bother to tell us that even though the bowl was missing the normal proteins, that they consider onions and limes protein 😂😂 laughable. When I told the server that she should tell customers that they upcharge for that, she told me its stated on the menu. Pretty sure the menu did not state that you all consider onions and limes to be protein. Absolutely ridiculous to pay $18 for these bowls of disappointment. Prices on google did not reflect accurately at all either, will...

I get food here at least once a week. It's not just the great Thai food that keeps drawing me back, it's the speed and service. I work in the food industry and I of all people understand that we make mistakes, but not once have I had to take an order back or complained about the food. The women that answers the phone when I place a call in order answers quick and politely (both problems I had with at Taste of Thai). I usually don't write reviews unless I feel it's necessary and today I went to place a call in order forgetting that they close at three (it was 2:51). When I asked to make sure she said don't worry and let me place my order. I don't know about you, but when I'm closing and people come in it can still sometimes frustrates me, but when I went in she was polite and happy and made my day a whole lot better! If you haven't yet noticed, I definitely recommend...

Fantastic Red Curry! But it goes downhill quickly. I called to make sure they have the Curry I like before placing my order and the lady was rude and short. But I ordered anyhow. Then I show up and she's sitting in a chair on her cell phone and says only a couple words, just to make sure I'm getting the right order. While she's talking to someone on the phone the whole time. Then when I give her my signed receipt she looks at it and gives a look of disgust when she sees I didn't leave a tip. I'm not leaving a tip for a pick up order, ever. I also asked for shrimp spring rolls expecting Thai spring rolls made from rice wraps and veggies but instead I got frozen and fried Chinese spring rolls.

But this Curry is amazing! Kudos...
