La Hacienda — Restaurant in Americus

As a Bartender and Waitress myself, I expected a great outcome from this restaurant. First time being here and would be the last. Expected a friendly server/waitress. Started out with a Michelada made with Modelo. She wasn’t getting it. Then pulled the “oh I’m sorry I’m new here 3-4days new. Ok great, but don’t tell us that we can’t do that when we can. Basically had her go ask. I asked for mixed fajitas, only came with Chicken not her fault because she did send it as Mixed fajitas. I Didn’t mention until the end and asked to change the price said it’s the same. I asked for a container to take home the Cheese dip, comes back with the white styrofoam box...I asked her if I could get the round little plastic container that usually is for the cheese dip, guac, etc...said that’s all they had. We also came with a coworker so he decided he wanted to pay separate so at the end, we asked her politely if she could separate it. Her response...”I asked you guys if it was together” following with a facial expression. You’re working at a PERFORMANCE BASED JOB. You want the money, Watch the attitude and tone felt bad for her, not much opportunities out here so we did leave a tip. Otherwise...

Server was preoccupied with her own family that had come to the restaurant to eat. I would've had dessert but she didn't come back to my table until 20-25minutes after I was done eating. She never even asked about dessert either. I was excited for some fried ice cream, but by the time I got my check it was already 10min after closing time. I mentioned it to her that I would've had dessert if it wouldn't have taken her 30min between times she checked if I need anything. She said she had been in the back cleaning. I told her that's funny since I saw you carrying a baby around in your arms and even into the kitchen with you a while ago. She just walked off like she didn't care. Then I paid and out of respect I waited to call and speak with management after I got to my vehicle since there were others in line to pay. The manager was very defensive and actually threw me attitude and continually talked over me. I informed her of the inappropriate service and she had no concern at all about it and just wanted to hear herself talk. Not sure if I will give this place another...

Let me start by saying we are regular customers for Laha. We know the owner and a good bit of the family and have always loved supporting this local restaurant but today was a terrible experience. We ordered take out and ordered our usual which is usually 45-50$ for everything. Today when my husband picked up our order they gave us 1 small bag of chips instead of two large ones like we ordered and always order. The girl working shook the receipt in my husbands face to “show” him that we didn’t order them when we in fact did. He literally watched me order them but he was still polite to her even AFTER she was ridiculously rude and proceeded to charge him an extra 11$ for the chips we already paid for!!!! On top of all of this they wanted 5$ for 3 extra EMTY taco shells. I’m appalled at the fact that our usual meal that cost 45$ was 66$ today as well as the absolutely AWFUL customer service and the food just being OK. Do better Laha. We won’t be back...
