This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. For context, I worked a Summer job when I was 19 at an absolutely terrible chain restaurant that never had their menu in stock and took forever to get people their food. This was worse.
We decided to go here because it was nearby our hotel. When we walked in, it took about 5 minutes for the hostess to recognize us, and then she brought us to a table. That part was okay.
Our server came by pretty quickly and asked for our drink orders. She came back a couple minutes later to let me know my beer of choice was not available, so I picked a different one. A few minutes after that, she brought mine and two other beers to the table. My beer (Miller Light) tasted fine, but the other two (Sam Adams) tasted weird. We stuck with Miller Light for subsequent beers.
We ordered when we got the first round, and didn’t order anything crazy. We had a group of 7, with one person only ordering a couple sides (coleslaw and Mac n cheese), and everyone else ordered very standard fare from their menu. When I tried to order the chicken kebab, they said they were out of bell peppers and zucchini (major parts of the dish), so I ordered the coconut shrimp instead.
We drank our first round and chatted. We ordered another round, assuming the food would be out soon. Our waitress came by to say how sorry she was for the wait about an hour after we had ordered, which we honestly didn’t care about that much given that we weren’t that hungry. However, the person who had ordered sides needed to eat, so we asked for those to be brought out before others. We waited about 5 minutes to get the coleslaw, and the Mac n cheese didn’t come out for another 20-30 minutes, during which time most of the other dishes came out.
We joked about pulling a hot plate out on the table and just cooking ramen, with how long everything was taking. We got most of our food a solid hour and a half after we ordered, but one person still didn’t have their food TWO HOURS after ordering. She decided to just grab something from a grocery store instead of waiting any longer.
I’ve worked in a poorly managed context, and this was more abysmal than what I dealt with. To paint a picture: The server hardly refilled our drinks, no manager spoke to us at any point, the food took hours, and the glassware/dish ware was of questionable cleanliness.
Absolutely do not recommend. Go anywhere else. There was a place across the street that had an ambulance and fire truck come by that looked more orderly. Seems like it would have been at least a...
Read moreWaited for approx. one hour for our party of 5 to be seated. Many came in after us and were seated beforehand. We added our name to the waiting list when we went in because there was no hostess at the entrance. We were ALL nearly ready to leave. We FINALLY got seated! We were told something like it wasn't the best spot to put us, but at least we could be together. That was fine with all of us. A booth with a table at the end. Our server was very pleasant. My husband and I ordered a chicken breast meal each with the option of a one or two piece. We both ordered only one. I chose mashed potatoes with mine. He chose broccoli (he says the broccoli was ok). When all the meals were served, my husband and I nearly went in shock at the look of our plates. The chicken was maybe 2½ oz. (honestly, no exaggeration saying that), about half the size of my fist. It actually looked like they took one small chicken breast, halved it and cooked for the two of us. My mashed potatoes were very dry, though they did have a little gravy on them. They weren't appealing to the eye. There was maybe 2/3 cup at the most. No more than that for sure. That was it. These two things on our plates. All of this for something like $14.99 or $17.99 per plate. I don't recall for sure. A couple of blips for another in our party, but that person was still pretty much good with that. One thing for sure....when we're visiting there again, won't go there a...
Read moreThis location should be closed. If it were possible to rate this a zero I would do it. This was possibly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The service wasn’t mean-spirited, but the server simply hadn’t been trained properly and she literally ran and hid when the wait for the food for our party of 7 exceeded 2 hours. The food that eventually showed up was awful, the Sam Adams we were served was skunked, and the manager was nowhere to be found. Nobody’s food came out at the same time, and my wife’s food (pasta with white sauce and shrimp) took so long she finally told them not to bring it. We learned as we were leaving, from another party who were also waiting an excessively long time for their meal, that the manager was actually in the back cooking, which was clearly not his strong point, although the overall condition of the restaurant, the ineptitude and general disinterest of the staff in keeping customers apprised about why everything but stale alcohol was literally taking hours to arrive suggests that restaurant management isn’t his strong suit either. Avoid this place as you would avoid a festering boil on a dying cow, which is what I worry I may have been served given the stomach cramps I am experiencing as I write...
