Yessi Puerto Vallarta — Restaurant in Ammon

1-12-2021 Update to my previous review: Went for lunch. Food was exceptional, service was very kind, and quick. Still have not went out before closing.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I am very very sad to leave a 3 star review because their food is exceptional. The only thing is their waitress that is always there is a bid course, especially if you come 30-40 minutes before closing time. WARNING, just because hours day they close at one time does not mean they will take customers all the way until they close. This has happened to me 4 times, and I never learn. I will say that two other times were when they were located in the castle looking restaurant on Holmes. Like I said, I feel terrible leaving a 3 star review when their food is so amazing, but I live 30 minutes away and to drive all the way across town and get turned down when they have zero customers just puts a bad taste in my mouth. My wife and I always eating at a different place. I’d you can show up early and deal with the semi cold service I strongly suggest this place. I will try one more time to go to dinner 45 minutes before they close. If they serve me, I will change my review to 5 stars, but leave my past...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great food, clean, homey, authentic. I loved this place because from the moment you walk in it feels like coming home. A Mexican home duh, right down to the music. This place was so clean you could eat off the floor. The food was dang good too!! It’s very obvious that they care about the customer and want you to have a good experience. Menu has great variety and everything was served really fast. I had the house enchiladas and they were really tasty. The rice was perfectly cooked I felt like I was at a boda. The adobada tacos and pollo a la crema were also delish! I believe this restaurant was a tribute for the daughter or family member of the owners, and there is a big picture in the entrance which would indicate that may be true. I don't know why people leave good reviews for this place. Has anyone ever had good Americanized Mexican food? This isn't it. Please don't go here. I went here because of the good ratings and that was a mistake. The salsa is bland and doesn't even taste fresh. The cheese they use is the cheap yellow kind and it tastes gross. The tacos are soggy and they fall apart and the chicken does not taste good. In addition to that, we paid 5 bucks for a kids meal with fries and chicken strips that tasted freezer burned and like they were taken from that freezer and put immediately into a microwave instead of a fryer. Maybe this place used to be good and is now try to save on costs? That's the only reason I can understand why they would ever have good reviews from anyone with taste buds. Sorry guys,...
