EDIT: As you can see in the owner’s response to my original review, I received the following offer, “When you come in next, please mention this review and you'll get 1 comped meal on us, no strings attached.” This offer brought me back into Cupbop. I went into the Idaho Falls store and showed 2 employees what was offered, however, they would not honor the one free meal. They did give me a free order of mandu. The employees were nice and the food I paid for was good, but what was promised, was not honored.
I entered the drive through at opening time (11:00 AM) and there was no answer at the intercom. I pulled up to the window and could see employees inside, but I was ignored. I pulled unto a parking spot and attempted to enter the store, however the door was locked even though it was posted on the door that the restaurant opens at 11:00. Now being at least 11:05, the restaurant should have been open. The employees looked right at me standing at the door, but again, I was ignored. I tried calling the restaurant twice, but no answer. After running a couple close errands, I returned to CupBop at 11:30 AM. Tried the drive through, and again, no employee assisted me with ordering. At this point, I pulled my car next to the entrance where two ladies were trying to enter the restaurant, but the door was still locked. I spoke with the two ladies and they explained that they had already placed an order online and were trying to pick it up. They knocked on the door several times. Employees saw these ladies, but CHOSE to ignore them. It wasn’t until the ladies became even more frustrated and knocked louder that an employee finally answered and explained that something had happened in their kitchen and they would not be opening until noon. Read moreI love cupbop so I was excited to see a location opening up here in Idaho falls. I went for the grand opening and most of the staff was pleasant enough especially considering they were quite busy. I did have two concerns/issues on my visit.
A kitchen staff came out of the kitchen, restocked some food items and began high fiving customers. Though I appreciated his enthusiasm I was concerned for the cleanliness of it, especially in the current COVID climate. 2 upon trying to pay I was treated poorly by the woman acting as the cashier because I didn’t know how to use the iPad payment option. Though I am a millennial and usually have no problem with it she flipped the payment portal around refused to help me. Then upon finding out I had somehow clicked cash instead of card she got frustrated and rude to me immediately. I had no way of knowing I had done that as usually when using iPad portals I never see what is on the iPad until after my card is ran and I am still confused as to why she turned it around at all. I even apologized saying I didn’t realize I did that and she was still rude and impatient with me.
Overall this experience and mistreatment makes me not want to go back which makes me really sad because I usually really enjoy cup-bop and have positive experiences. I would not recommend going to this location. Food is great,...
Read moreI come here quite often with my family. One of my family members and I both have celiacs, so we always get the gluten free #5. We normally love the food but the last few times we’ve come in the food was not great and even made my family member and I sick. The customer service at the drive thru is very poor most of the time. My family member went through the drive thru this afternoon and sat there for ten minutes after they ordered the food. The guy who took their order didn’t know what he was doing. My family member had to repeat the order at three times and he still didn’t grasp it. My family member said the food in their bowl was severely under portioned and had an overwhelming taste of ginger, even though they asked for the lowest level of spicy. They also purchased extra meat and did not get it. I got a level 3 spicy on my bowl. The sauce completely drowned out any other flavor. My family member ordered extra meat and tofu for my bowl, however I did not receive any tofu. I did get extra meat, however it tasted very disgusting. The food and service has gone down significantly over the last 5-6 weeks. Very unhappy since this is one of the only places that my family member and I can eat at that has gluten free options where we like the food. If there was a zero star option I...
