After a stressful statistics class tonight, a classmate and I, decided to go get food. She convinced me to go to Kneaders. I have never been there but wasn’t feeling it because I have had Panera four times this week. We arrived at Kneaders and I told her that I would rather have Costa Vida for dinner. I convinced her to try Costa Vida. She has never eaten there. As we were looking at the menu, I turned over to an irate employee. I did not know she was the manager until after the situation. She was yelling at me stating that the person in front of me was the last customer (I was in the restaurant before him). I tried to speak but she kept interrupting me. She yelled we closed at nine and we are running out of food. I tried to say I was in the restaurant before nine but I was being interrupted. I also stated that google says they close at ten. I was told that someone keeps changing the time and to leave the establishment. I left humiliated. She did this in front of at least seven customers. I was flabbergasted by her actions. I went back in to ask for her name and she refused to give it to me. Another employee took it upon himself to kick me out. Told me to leave. There was another lady that was very sweet and her tone of voice was not out of line. She stated nicely for me to come back tomorrow. There were people laughing as I was walking out. I cannot confirm if the employees or the customers were laughing. Once out of the establishment I called to speak to the manager and to my surprise it was the same voice of the one yelling in the store. I asked her if she was the one yelling at customers. I told her she treated me very poorly. She blamed her actions on having two employees walk out and she was overwhelmed. I told her, that is no way to be treating a paying customer. She continued to argue with me over the phone, as I was asking for the store number and her first name. I have never been treated like that at any establishment. I didn’t do anything wrong. I literally walked in to spend my hard earned money, have dinner with a good friend, and be full of yummy food. We went back to Kneaders. They had amazing food and customer service. For nearly the same price but a better experience. My friend stated she will never recommend or try Costa Vida. We would’ve been perfectly fine with her stating “We are running out of ingredients. I apologize but we would love for you guys to come by tomorrow.” In a sincere and gentle tone of voice. She is clearly not fit to be a part of management. She also sets an example for her other employees. The other employee was just as unprofessional as her. Very poor experience and would rate...
Read moreThe staff member that was supposed to be helping us with our order abruptly stopped helping us to greet her cousin that was behind us and began helping her with her order, left our oder half way prepared while working around us and our order to finish her cousins order and hand walk her around us and to the cashier where she instructed the cashier on how to ring up her cousin's order, I assume to make sure she got a discount, finished her transaction and her personal conversation and then walked back past us and our order to do something else. The cashier then tried to resume prepairing our order so he could cash us out. My husband and I were rather shocked at how we were being treated and discussing how we should or shouldn't react when he became insistent that we respond to his questions. As we already felt that we were simply in their way at this point and they did not value our patronage in any way, we decided to just leave. I was truly astonished at the level of disrespect and complete lack of even an attempt at customer service at this place. I was not interested in doing business anywhere that tolerates rude or inconsiderate behavior towards their paying customers. The staff was young and I am not and I can understand a certain amount of relational disconnect or misunderstanding and not be offended by it. This was not the case. It is easy to be polite and kind but it takes effort to be rude. Rude behavior is what we experienced. We did not complete our order and we did not pay. We walked out after sarcastically apologizing for being in the way, twice. The clueless and careless employee who decided to stop helping us to help her cousin literally said "dont worry about it." There is no preamble to this. There was no one in line when we began our order. The only interaction with the staff was simply to place our order until she abruptly and simply stopped helping us to help her cousin. I only know it was her cousin because she made sure to tell the cashier while working around our order that was still sitting on the counter, unfinished, in front of her, while preparing her...
Read moreWe ordered catering for 15 people, even though we only had 13. We wanted to make sure we had extra in case anyone wanted it. We ordered the shredded pork and chicken taco option which was about $10a person. I showed up to pick up my order at 11:00 am when it was supposed to be ready. It was ready about 10 mins later, at which point I took the food and left. Shortly after leaving, I received a call saying they didn't get the pinto beans in the bag, so I had to return to the store and pick them up. I got the missing beans, and once again left. Upon arriving at my destination and unpacking the food, we saw that it would not even come close to feeding 13 people, let alone 15 people. As this was a training class, all of the trainees and trainers are but three people did not get any tacos. I did call and complain about the insufficient amount of food and they did refund us the difference between those that we actually able to make a meal of the scant amount of food and what we ordered. Because they were willing to refund some of the amount, I give them three stars. However, I will NOT be using them for any catering...
