One of the BEST places for tortas, flautas, and smoothies in OC! *Español abajo.

I've been dining at CJ for about 8 years. The first time was the loc on State College and Lincoln, then the ine on Tustin Ave, and finally this Euclid location.

Food: Great tasting tortas! I specially enjoy the Torta Cubana with a mix of meat and tasty salsa. Next for me is Milanesa or Pierna 😋 Their beef flautas are delish, and their Tortilla Soup is bomb! 🙌 *They now give the sauce and chips separately as seen on my photos.

-Their salsa bar (with 3 salsas), grilled chiles, and lemons is top notch!

Price: They were better priced years ago, but now that they're so popular (plus inflation/MW up) prices have increased over 25%, this is noticeable with smoothies & juices.

Service: From my first visit, I noticed that their CS is NOT on par with the quality of the food. Cashiers seemed rushed and moody, EVEN ON THIS LAST VISIT. I witnessed what appeared to be the Manager to be short tempered and speaking in a rude-like tone to 2 other employees. A similar experience occurred several times at the State College location. The Tustin loc seemed to be the most friendliest and less "rushed."

-I speak Spanish, but one can sense a pro-MX/Spanish bias once inside. I get it, it's MX food, however non-MX/Latinx folks will prob like to enjoy this food, so service & consideration ought to be part of their training.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. Horrible service and food, excessive salt. One salsa for a $30 order & it was only filled half way or less in the 2 oz container. They forgot half my order, no flan even thought it’s clearly included in the #3 torta combo. My food was cold. No limes even though I asked for them. Then spent an entire 20 min contacting the restaurant and kept getting placed on hold. The woman who finally answered was very rude and unprofessional. I spoke to her in Spanish and then she began speaking to me in English, She just gave me the option of contacting Grubhub and never offered an apology. I was calm letting her know I would but I still wanted to contact the restaurant and let them know of my missing items as Grubhub was not the one preparing or bagging my order and she hung up on me.
