We checked Google before visiting Hatam Restaurant last night (Saturday) and saw that their hours are listed as open until 9:00 PM. We arrived at 8:15 PM, well within their posted hours, but were told immediately that we had to pay our bill by 8:30 PM because the cashier would be closing early. After being seated, I went to wash my hands before touching any food, and while I was at the restroom the hostess came over asking me to place our order right there in the hallway, which felt completely inappropriate. When I returned to the table, another member of our group also went to wash his hands, and the hostess again insisted on taking the order even though our party wasn’t complete at the table. When I pointed out that her attitude was unprofessional and reminded her of the posted 9:00 PM closing time, she responded that they shouldn’t have let us in at all! Instead of apologizing for the contradiction, she was dismissive and rude. The entire incident took less than three minutes, and we ended up leaving by 8:18 without ordering. If the restaurant chooses to close early, they should update their posted hours to avoid misleading customers. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning. We will also be following up with the Better Business Bureau, the California Department of Consumer Affairs, and the County Consumer Protection Office to report this as false advertising and deceiving customers.

I use to go to Hatem Restaurant every month and I even recommended it to friends and family wedding. Last time I used it after covid-19 was Aug.25,22 I took an order togo to feed my 3 years old so he can try Hatem for the first time. After I picked up the order I went to the park and I was surprised to find the meat was burned (see photo) the rice tasted very old. I called the restaurant right away and they first said if I bring it back they will remake it, I told the lady that was not possible to go back then she told me that she will refund the purchase price $17.25 which was a lie.(they never refunded it. I will never use them again and I will make sure that I will let all family and friend to see the photo. The Lying is what I don't appreciate. what was bad is I can see from a distance that the lady opened the box and closed it and she was talking to another lady behind the counter. That was not professional to see what was in the box but ignore it. You kept my money, the trash kept the food, I had a bad taste from your restaurant. YOU LOSE!!!

So I rolled up to Hatam Restaurant the other day craving some serious Persian vibes and let me tell you it did not disappoint. The koobideh kabob was legit fire, super juicy with that perfect char on the outside. And don’t even get me started on the saffron rice. It’s like sunshine on a plate, for real. The staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. Shout out to the waiter who helped me choose the best kabob. The interior is kinda old school though, which some might call rustic charm, but I’d love to see them update the decor just a bit. A sprinkle of modern flair would totally elevate the ambiance to match the bomb food. All in all, Hatam is definitely a vibe if you’re looking to get your Persian food fix. I’m giving it four stars because the food is top tier and the service is awesome but the atmosphere could use a little glow up. Still, I’m already plotting my next visit and I totally recommend it

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hatam Restaurant in Anaheim, California, and I must say, it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was enveloped in an ambiance that exuded warmth, authenticity, and a true passion for Persian cuisine. Hatam Restaurant truly stands out as a gem in the heart of Anaheim. Let's start with the food, the heart and soul of any restaurant. The flavors that graced my palate were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish at Hatam tells a story of skilled craftsmanship and culinary artistry. The menu boasts an extensive array of Persian delights, from traditional kebabs to aromatic stews, all made with the finest and freshest ingredients. One standout dish that left me mesmerized was the succulent and tender Chelo Kabob. The perfectly grilled kebabs, accompanied by fluffy saffron-infused rice, were a symphony of flavors. The blend of spices and herbs transported me straight to the vibrant streets of Tehran. The flavors were rich, nuanced, and utterly unforgettable. The attentive and knowledgeable staff at Hatam further elevated my dining experience. From the moment I sat down, their genuine warmth and professionalism shone through. They were eager to assist with recommendations, explain the origins of each dish, and ensure that every detail of my visit was perfect. The level of customer service at Hatam is truly exceptional, setting a high standard for other restaurants to follow. The restaurant's decor is a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and Persian charm. The spacious dining area is adorned with intricate artwork and beautiful Persian rugs that add a touch of authenticity to the overall experience. The attention to detail is commendable, as every element of the restaurant has been thoughtfully curated to create a welcoming and immersive atmosphere. Moreover, the dedication of Hatam Restaurant to providing a memorable experience extends beyond the dining area. They also offer catering services, making it an excellent choice for special events and celebrations. Whether you're planning a corporate gathering, a wedding reception, or a family reunion, Hatam's team will go above and beyond to make your event an unforgettable success. In conclusion, Hatam Restaurant in Anaheim is a true gem for Persian cuisine enthusiasts. From the impeccable flavors that grace their dishes to the exceptional customer service and inviting atmosphere, every aspect of Hatam shines brightly. It is evident that the team behind this culinary masterpiece is passionate about delivering an extraordinary dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Hatam Restaurant to anyone seeking an unforgettable Persian...

So this is a long overdue review, I'm a second generation longtime customer(since 98 to be exact) was first brought to hatam restaurant by my parents(30+ yrs customers) and became my to go place and have never had the necessity nor desire to search for another Persian restaurant in 27 yrs. Food taste has not changed, prices and portions are at par with each other which is why my family and i have been bringing our business to hatam restaurant in anaheim. I've randomly and/or sporadically spoken with the dish washers, waitors, hostesses, cooks, food preparers who have spoken wonders of the owner, which i've my self had the oportunity to talk to at times, and i can see why hatam had been in business for so long. Management cares for their employees, employees do their work with care and that gets transmitted to the customer by the good service, great tasting food and enjoyable atmosphere through out the restaurant. I believe that's the key to a successful business. I had a little mishap about a year or two ago where i dropped my debit card and 5k in a pouch on the floor of the restaurant at a lunch business meeting, called the restaurant after closing and they had found it, that my 5k and debit card were in there to not worry. The money was counted and put back in the pouch and returned with no money missing also a reward given as a thanks to finder. Before that mishap i was a satisfied repeat customer for many years, now its a business i consider as close friends. If this review does not tell you hatam in anaheim is a hidden gem i wouldn't know what will. Special thanks to SAMI and HUSSAIN from a long time customer and friend, Keep up the good business practice and ethics to continue serving super delicious food and above and beyond...

There's no denying the food is absolutely phenomenal, FIVE stars. Portions are very large and we always have left overs to enjoy the next day. Prices are not low, considering the modest atmosphere, but not terribly high. As to the poor service, and hence the 3 stars, I receive, and expect, better service at a fast food restaurant or taco shop! The gentleman waiter, I only see one man waiter there with the rest being lady waitresses, is courteous and friendly, although like the rest of the servers always seems overwhelmed even when the restaurant is virtually with no customers. Posted closing time is 10pm. 6 of us show up at 9:25 and are asked by the waiter to place our food order at the register before we sit because kitchen will be closing in 5 minutes. We would have taken our guests to McDonald's if we wanted to do so. Not acceptable of a respectable business. We politely declined the offer as we didn't want to be rushed. The gentleman was apologetic but two of the ladies had to add their RUDE remarks shrugging their shoulders as if they couldn't care less about our inconvenience of driving 20 minutes only to be turned away. I own my own business and can't claim that I am not displeased with late customers but I never show it and am always welcoming knowing that I will have a repeat customer. We are sorry to say that there are other restaurant options which we'll make sure we explore after many years of being...
