So glad Nonâs Kitchen exists!!! Itâs been a good 14 months or so since Iâve gotten my proper fix of Popcorn Chicken, not the kfc or generic stuff, but the real deal with basil leaves and a little heat from the spices shake. My go to in Rowland Heights closed down due to the retirement of ownership. Sure, there are alternatives, but not even close, not sizzling hot, not tender, lacking a proper blend of spices.. somethings, always something is off. The chicken has to have its own presence beyond the crust and powder! Found it! Right here at Nonâs Kitchen. Flavor , texture, quality, execution, 10/10! So excited from looking at their menu, I also ordered the calamariâŚSuperb! Now, if you are a smoker, or a drinker, tell them to make it extra flavorful⌠I am not and easily got a range of flavors I truly enjoyed, but I can see how someone might call it bland. Hey, itâs like finally liking French fries only after discovering ketchup! I also had a milk tea with boba to go, excellent tea , soft chewy boba , a 9/10 as I am spoiled with access to a superior boba shop that I consider the best in the nation. My boba quest has taken me to Dallas , Chicago , Ny , New York, Flushing , San Jose / San Fran and all over southern Cal. So 9/10 is a very solid score. I intend to come back to try their other offerings, garlic noodles and variety of spring rolls among them , and try another drink or two⌠Location is freeway friendly, easy to get to from a distance âŚ, like Riverside!!! Decore is simple but strong. Images are powerful and if you really look into them, youâll get a lot out. Service is friendly, but not glowing, and itâs not for lack of effort but between the multitasking and the learning curve, itâs coming along. Letâs put it like this , I love all the employees, and it was my first time here! Critique? Sure , the quantity of the popcorn chicken was on the minimal side for the price⌠but I can understand it. Increase the price by a buck to give more chicken and itâll seem expensive. I just have to tell myself it is a snack, not a meal....
Read moreExceptional. My girlfriend and I tried these items from Nonâs Kitchen: Crispy Shrimp Rolls Appetizer, Grilled Chicken Sandwich (Banh Mi), Shaken Beef with Rice, the Chicken Pho, lychee lemonade and mango lemonade. All the food was made super fresh. The service was exquisite; they showed us so much attention. The crispy shrimp was (duh) super crispy and the dipping sauce paired so nicely. The chicken sandwich was grilled to perfection and the cut vegetables gave it a fresh crunch. The beef with rice was rich, delicious, and so filling by itself. The chicken pho was divine. The broth is some of the best I have ever had. The anise taste is a bit subtle, so those who donât really like the taste of anise (like myself) will enjoy this dish. With the spicy add-ons, this bowl is pure heaven. The lemonades gave much-needed relief to a hot summer day because they were so cold and fresh and sweet. I highly recommend coming here, and I would definitely...
Read moreWe live near by and saw that this new place had opened and the few reviews here seemed promising.
We tried the: V1. Grilled chicken vermicelli B1. Shaken Beef (rib eye) A4. Summer (pork) egg rolls A6. Egg rolls
All were pretty great - especially the summer egg roll- that was a new item for us. The prices are a bit on the steeper side (our bill was ~$40 range for the 2 entrees and 2 apps) but the serving sizes were generous.
As a point of improvement for this restaurant - please consider including a bit more of a description of what each entree includes beyond the protein portion Or doing more pictures. The current menu doesnât detail much so we had to use Yelp to figure out what each dish included and still had to ask the cashier questions.
FYI - we did take out. From ordering to walking out, it was about 10 min....
