Suthathip Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Anaheim

We just called this place to place an order about 45 mins ago. We asked to have it delivered and they said they could be they will have to charge us an extra $5 because according to their delivery driver we only tipped him $1. Now I am a business owner myself and have a business in the food industry too. I know how much to tip and I tip well above that. I know how much my employees need tips so I don't like when people short change on their tip. After asking her when it happened she had no idea. She just responded it was the last time you ordered. A tip is not a form of payment for delivery. Had they just said they were charging us an extra $5 for delivery I would have no problem. We ended up ordering from door dash and paid and $8 fee plus tipped 15% on top of that. Like I said the amount was not the issue, it's the customer service that was poor. I agree with trusting your employees, but what if he said he only got a dollar so he didn't have to split the rest with his team later. Not the best way to run a business, food is fine but service is really poor. Would not suggest going here or ordering from here. They might just upcharge you for no reason like they tried...

I have been a regular here with about 5-6 trips, but for the first time I was kind of disappointed with the customer service here. A new waitress which I haven't seen before yesterday assumed that my group was ordering off the dinner menu during the lunch hour and didn't bother clarifying with us at all. Common sense would think that at noon, we would be ordering off the lunch menu.

We ended up getting charged dinner prices. Her excuse was the entrees were dinner portion, but to be honest the pad thai dish was the same size as the lunch portion, I got charged more and didn't even get my soup. No effort was made on her part to correct the situation.

I will still come here, but I guess I will have to be specific every time verbally that I want the item off the lunch menu during...

Suthathip has all the Thai comfort food you know and love, but I truly feel like they take each dish to new heights!! Right from the first bite, you can taste the boldness of flavors… NONE of the food is bland here.

Their crispy pork is the perfect mix of crunch and tenderness (both fried rice & pad Thai with it are excellent!) while the curries are extremely rich and creamy!!

Another HUGE standout at Suthathip Thai is their green pandan sticky rice with mango! Love the sweet and fragrant notes you get from this. Don’t forget to also try their buttery roti topped with sweetened condensed milk!! So flaky/crispy.
