Horrible service and hotdogs in burritos! I asked for salchicha for my breakfast burrito and on the menu, their hotdogs are labeled “Weines” or “wieners”. Their menu is outdated, ingredients and prices. So I ordered a chorizo burrito and didn’t complain or ask for a refund. The second burrito was delicious
But I don’t understand the rude cashier woman yelling at me that “this is a Mexican restaurant not a Mexican American restaurant. We don’t do the half and half menu here” yet the huge red menu right below her advertised French fries and nuggets plus, burritos are from Ca and it’s hard to find a burrito in MX. I may be a no sabo kid, but that woman was rude, condescending and doesn’t know a thing about running a restaurant— she doesn’t even know the menu. This was her unsolicited opinion that wasn’t asked for or concerned her bc the order wasn’t taken w her not was the food prepared by her. I ordered a horchata and have always gotten free refills. And it was maybe after 10 minutes after my second refill when the conversation of the burrito took place and out of nowhere she keeps parroting “business is business” to charge me for a refill. I hope the $2 was worth losing a long time returning customer.
The cashier was prejudiced against my appearances of not being Mexican enough and tried to use that against me
Besides all the inappropriate and ignorant behavior, their establishment was...
Read moreJust got a barbacoa burrito, it tasted like how hair smells, a gamey oily scent. I couldn't get past the third bite. Apparently this is lamb barbacoa (certainly didn't say lamb on the menu), now I've had lamb before, and didn't taste like this. Kept burping from the food all night, it was not good.
The rice and beans were good, full marks there. Didn't get to try the sauce, was a nice deep green color, looked good. Lots of items on menu.
Location is ok, many not be able to find a space if your group is larger than 6 and the larger tables are taken. If you use a wheelchair, turning around will be tight as there is not much space. (The owner should take a picture and post it to prove me wrong.)
Restrooms are available, but accessibility will be an issue, during my visit there was stuff blocking the door. Restrooms weren't very clean looking during my visit, but hey maybe that was just that day. (Hopefully the owner will post a picture to prove me wrong about this.)
Forgot in my original review, bring cash as using a card will cost you a $1.
Picture is of my burrito, threw it in trash immediately.
I didn't take pictures, and I note there aren't any posted for this location, so if it remains this way I will return and get some. Should make for...
Read moreThis was more than we expected when we arrived shortly off the plane from Colorado and wanted something local before we headed to Disneyland! They have over 60+ pictured menu items to choose from and they will seriously deviate from the menu to make you some unique if desired.
Let's start with the fact the lady/owner who took our order was PASSIONATE about her family recipes and the 20+ years of her business success that her parents started in a different location. Her and her husband took over this business almost 10 years ago and both of them were there to cook and make our experience amazing! Everything is made fresh daily and when I say fresh I mean fresh and delicious!!!
My daughter ordered the steak quesadillas and really liked the sauce on the side along with her entree.
My order was the tacos and I went with lamb, and chicken. The beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and fresh AVOCADOS were so good. What made it more impressive was the handmade corn tortillas.
It was absolutely worth the stop and after eating at "cuisine" restaurants at Disneyland I bummed I didn't go back to this place for another meal.
Thanks you for sharing your passion and delicious food with me and my family and I will see you again when we come back out...
