TOCUMBO ICE CREAM — Restaurant in Anaheim

This is the go-to spot for Mexican ice cream, paletas and other yummy treats! I’m sure you’ve seen many other shops around but this place has it all, great selection of flavors(elote is my go to!) friendly staff, and they always use fresh ingredients. You can also get raspados, agua frescas, fruit cups and more, the selection is awesome.

What really makes this place stand out, is their customer service. I’ve read that this is a family owned business (which I encourage everyone to support!), so they really know how to cater to their customers! They always make me feel welcome and always friendly and kind, and they never make me feel less then for constantly asking questions or asking them to explain something to me. You can sample the flavors so don’t be shy to try something new!

Shop is easy to find, and always clean inside, plus the decor is super cute and fun, and parking is not an issue. They also use the Fivestars rewards system so if you sign in, you can get rewards on your visit.

Cute ice cream shop, good options and yummy ice cream. I would say the ice cream and paletas are good but what really stood out for me are the aguas, they are great! The negatives are that there is way too much socializing about personal things going on at the register which holds up the line when there are customers waiting to pay for sometimes only a single item. Today there were 2 ladies who kept talking at the register for 5 minutes after they had already paid, just catching up with the cashier. We patiently waited expecting that the cashier would ring us up, but instead she just kept chatting with her friends. Rude, inconsiderate and very unprofessional. I understand being friendly but this was a little overboard. The restroom also had a "Not in Service" sign, however people kept going in to use it. If it's truly out of service, it should be locked as that's disgusting and unsanitary. If it's working, remove the sign. If I'm desperate for some good aguas I might...

Phenomenal flavor, always new types of ice cream to try as well. They offer aguas frescas, esquites, raspados, strawberries with cream, and even tejuinos. You have to try some of their snack antojitos to truly see how their location varies from other ice cream locations. I love the freshness of their ice cream flavors, simply put they are not as sweet as most places and they are more enjoyable. The customer service is second to none, they are always happy to serve their community and they take pride in being genuine. I always enjoy getting their water based ice cream because of the freshness, yet their milk based options are always creative.
