First of all, great price, only 12.99 plus tax as of July 2022! Delicious traditional Chinese foods (however they're mostly fried or seafood, very little in the way of just stir fried meats). Also some of my favorites such as miso soup, kimchi and cream cheese Rangoons. However it was very loud and busy, with people playing videos and making phone calls on speakerphone, children screaming and running making it difficult to focus on your food or conversation. Some people are so rude and inconsiderate that I could hear their action movie thru my headphones! There is plenty of parking, but you might have to walk a few minutes from the far end of the lot. There is also quite a bit of traffic and lots of tourists as it's only a few minutes away from Disneyland. The wait staff are attentive and polite but it's clear that English is not their native language so don't expect to be able to communicate much beyond asking for a refill or the check. The fruit and desert selection are also quite tasty! The strawberries and cantaloupes were real highlights! There are also ice cream cups and almond cookies, along with my personal favorite dessert at almost all Asian buffets, the coffee cake! The teppanyaki chef is respectablely good at his job, with generous portions of garlic and veggies. The only food I'd advise against getting are the cream noodles, as it's more oil than it is cream. The bathroom was also clean and there were high chairs available. Unfortunately the only diet soda they had was Diet Pepsi but that is normal for Asian Buffets. Finally, the roast beef pie was also a sleeper hit, definitely something to get again next time I'm there. I'll update you upon my next visit! Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTypical Chinese AYCE buffet with the normal offer. Facilities is spacious, nice, clean, carpet is kind of old but no bad odors detected. Restroom is fairly clean with some moldy odors. It was about 70% occupied at noon on Monday so above average in popularity.
It's a family business. The oldest daughter is at the cash register, busy and fairly grumpy, but lots of small business are in dire financial problems and worries. The middle daughter and son are clearing tables. The youngest daughter wear glasses, is tall, good-looking and pleasant. She was smiling sweetly as she showed us to the table.
Salad station is limited. There were sushi and rolls but no sashimi.
Most dishes were below average in taste and texture. Fried chicken wings and thighs were OK. Beef with broccoli had very little beef. There were no boiled or salt pepper shrimp. Shrimps were lumped in batter into drum sticks and fried, soggy and tasteless. Fried calamari had way too much batter, also soggy and tasteless. Miso and egg flower soup were OK but sweet and sour soup was too salty.
Vegetables, string beans and mushroom ect were OK.
The Mongolian station had 4 types of proteins and veggies but had no client.
Desert station had strawberries, a few melons and jellos but lacked creamy puddings. Ice cream are in paper cups.
The food is average with cheap ingredients, OK for the price. We still find Komu has more varieties, better ingredients and better chef for low-price buffets. We left a good tip knowing how hard they all have to work to stay in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCanāt do half stars, but this gets 3.5. Starting off with the service. Most of the people are kind, some are just there because they have to be and it shows with how they treat you. Not bad, just a bit impatient. The place could definitely be a bit cleaner and the decor is very tacky (think flat and broken looking booths, fold out looking chairs, and a fake diamond ceiling piece/chandelier looking thing). Moving onto food. The crabs were fried and very small so they were not worth it at all. You canāt be overcooking something that small. Then thereās no meat left. On the flip side the crawfish were beautifully cooked with a very good flavour. Same with the clams and mussels. Clams were gritty and flavourless. Mussels were SO GOOD. The dumplings were basic, but I was hooked. Iāve seen pictures of the sushi bar, but due to my poor timing in the night it didnāt hit like I know it could have. It was kind of empty. Everything that was there though was well rolled, well portioned, and very tasty. I took a gamble on the raw salmon chunks and I didnāt get sick! I will skip it though. Didnāt feel too safe. The green beans and tempura squash were done so well. I think they were my favourite. As for dessert, Iād skip it all. Cake was dry and cookies were all broken. Grapes were squishy and full of bitter seeds. Overall Iām getting real hit or miss vibes, but with the price and the things I did enjoy I will definitely be...
