My sister and I stopped by this Starbucks yesterday late afternoon on our way to see Hamilton that’s playing at the pantages… I got a vanilla sweet cream cold brew she got her normal mango dragonfruit refresher. Staff was polite as usual, the one thing I didn’t like was before we pulled up the man working the window placed her drink on the small table and closed the window as we pulled up. After getting our drinks and getting to Hollywood during the middle of first half of the show my stomach started to cramp really bad. 15 minutes later I had to rush to the bathroom to vomit then the “other” stuff started. I tried to make it through the show but we had to leave. Those tickets were $248 apiece! I got home still in the same condition and today waking up I chatted with Starbucks customer service. The woman was indifferent and just said “oh, I’m sorry’ and then didn’t type anything else… so I said well this is great customer service. I’m telling you I got sick from a drink and I’m still going to the toilet and it’s “whoops” no offer to refund at least my drink, my sisters drink was fine.. so I’m not some uncouth person expecting a total refund. So I decided to email the company expressing my further experience and I get an email back pretty fast but they’re saying they need to talk to me over the phone about this… to speak to a special department. I call in, give my reference number I was told to give, then had to tell my story ALL OVER again about my experience at the store, my experience with customer service and now speaking to a third person, what was the reference number for if not to explain all this? I was told I then have to hold to speak with another department… why make me go through all that just to speak to someone else??? So I’m on hold for 15 minutes and I just hung up. I had to go to the toilet again. They didn’t call me back and I’m not calling them. What I will do is not go to Starbucks again. I should have brought my own (I drink stok) but my sister wanted her refresher “fix” so I said I’ll just get me a cold brew from them. Big mistake. There is an a-hole who works here who got upset because I asked him if my drink was almost ready after almost waiting for 20 minutes. I ordered two drinks. One came out but the other didn’t. I asked him a question about the drink and he got so mad about it, started complaining about being the only person making the drinks, and proceeded to make me wait longer for the drink. I saw him make it and place it somewhere else to make me wait. When I asked him about it, it was a question, not an attack. There was no reason for him to act this way towards me. Needless to say I went and asked for a refund and after, the drink was magically ready. I didn’t take it anymore. However, do not complain to customers about the job you chose to work in. Read moreUpdate: thought I would give this one another try, but just as disappointing as before. Service and concept of customer service is really lacking here. Did a mobile order this time then making that would be better. In the drive through mentioned a mobile order was told yep got that Festive Crunch Frap for you. Order the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappacino. Got to the window and was told, that will be 19.10. I said I had a mobile order and she said to me, will it is not in my queue. Then walked away and brought back my drink, watered down and not filled. Like it was rushed. Done here. They won't care, still get their $20 hour to pour coffee.
Went through drive though about 9 pm to night. Took about 20 min to get through drive through. Not sure what the challenge was, but staff did not apologize for it. Might not have been their direct fault, but the apology for the wait would have...
