Besto — Restaurant in Anderson

I have been going here since I was a kid, at least 25 years now, and it has always been one of my favorite Dives in town. The staff is very friendly, and they always remember me by name when I come in. The breakfast selection is my favorite, they have the best bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit in town; or any other combination you can think of. The best part about the breakfast are the freshly fried Tetris shaped tater tots, I remember getting these as a child and playing Tetris while I ate. Not ashamed to say at 33 years old, I still have to make two solid lines of Tetris tater tots before I eat them LOL. There's not too many places in town that you can reminisce over childhood memories such as this. Milkshake and ice cream selection is wonderful, so save room for dessert; this is a great place to go just for ice cream, as well.

My family and I absolutely love Besto. It’s our go to spot for ice cream- especially because it’s so reasonably priced. I’m not sure if the prices have recently changed but if they have, they need to update their menu to show it. My husband and I got a small and a large swirl cone the other day- the small was over $5 and the large was over $7! My sons small milkshake was $3.20. We felt for sure this was a mistake especially when two swirl cones are more expensive than a milkshake. When we questioned it we were told the price was correct, even though the menu on the window reflected a much cheaper price. We were shocked at the price of just a basic cone. I placed an online order and went to go pick it up a little less than an hour later, but with me sitting in the line waiting, it ended up being about an hour for sure. Anyways, once I got to the window, my order was not ready. They told me they’d literally just received it! The manager told me that they had been busy for over an hour and had not checked the phone for the online orders. I was not offered any type of sympathy or anything, although I placed everything on my side correctly. I have my small infant with me and could not sit in the line for another 30 minutes waiting for food that should have already been ready. The manager sucks and so does the communication at this location....
