Osaka Express Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Anderson

I used to love Osaka but it seems like over the past few year either by change of management or otherwise quality has greatly deteriorated. We stoped going around 6 months ago but out of curiosity we wanted to give it a second shot. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The first thing I noticed when I opened my to-go box was that me entire order was wrong. Naturally I called, but was met with a extremely rude worker, she did everything in her power to convey that she was pissd off at me for calling and trying to get me order corrected. Once the food did get back to my house the rice had what can only be described as a "cleaning chemical taste". Terrific little place. As you walk in you notice how bright the atmosphere is. As you look around the colors are well appointed nice cushion seating things are well arranged to make for wide always everything is decorated nicely as well. Best of all prompt courteous service was offered, the order was taken and a short while later it was ready to take home. The food was hot delicious and well prepared. As I looked around behind the counter and the main room and including the bathroom and a peek into the kitchen I saw everything to be clean and in its place. This is a jewel of a place, I will certainly be back. For $9 I got the teriyaki chicken with a glass of water including taxes. You just can't go wrong with a stop at this place for a bite to eat. Anything but EXPRESS. Waiting about 20 minutes to get my to go 10.00 + "deal". Asked for no fried rice, or no "sweet carrots" which come with every meal. Beef dishes comes with carrots and mushrooms. Chicken meals come with carrots and broccoli. I asked for a side of zucchini and onions which is the same price as sweet carrots OR fried rice. It was an upcharge, even though I was not getting the 2 sides that came with the meal. Besides waiting at least 20 minutes ( and they were NOT busy ) the portion was much smaller than a place like Master Work, which is faster, less expensive and had a much better flavor.
