Went into restaurant, placed my order as I always do. Waited no longer than usual to get my food. When I got home, my food was the wrong order. I called the restaurant, the gentleman was very nice & ask me to come back for my correct order. I informed the gentleman that I'd have come back another day. I went back about a week later, instead of placing my usual order I spoke with who I'm pretty sure was the same gentleman I had spoken with on the phone about getting the wrong order earlier (I recognized his voice). I preceded to explain again about the wrong order, he immediately made sure he had the order correct, went into the kitchen & expedited the order very quickly. I thanked him for my (hopefully correct) order. He verbally said it was correct this time. When I got home the cheese sauce was dumped all inside the bag! Really!!! is all I can think or say! So I call the restaurant again. This time the gentleman states, "Well I dont know what you do with the food when you leave, maybe you didnt put it in a safe place in your car. Now I'm livid! I told him that I felt that it is the restaurants responsibility to make sure the food is securely contained, & if he wanted to lose a customer that would be fine by me. Then he decides that he will offer me another try at getting this order correct! Now after a couple of days to think it over, I've decided that, (fool me once shame on you!, fool me twice shame on me!) I won't make that mistake a third time. You dont talk down to a paying, regular customer! CASA FUENTES IS OFF MY LIST...

Read moreThe "kitchen" guacamole was delicious - the "at table" guac must be fantastic! Chips were yummy and warm. The enchilada met the taste test, altho I actually prefer cheddar cheese, which doesn't happen anymore in any TexMex or even in old Mexico. Service was great - owner is very friendly. Salsa bar features a wide variety of mild - medium - hot - and different pepper concoctions. All in all, I'll drive the 40 mile round trip to revisit. My only rationale for not awarding the 5th star is the lack of the elusive crispy fried taco - not just a taco meat filled shell. Casa Fuentes is one of the best in the upstate thus far in my quest for offerings which delight "my hometown" taste...
