What an amazing place. First - great coffee. Smooth, low acidity, great brew and press. The mouth feel is velvet and the consistency is near perfection- no matter who the barista is or isnโt. The baristas are all volunteers but their training is top notch and they are lovely people. They take the time to get to know you and your order (if you have a regular.)
The menu is not expansive, but if you know how to order the components of your drink and they have the ingredients, they will make it. For instance, they do not serve a macchiato, but you can order a vanilla latte (which IS on the menu) with caramel drizzle and BOOM - a caramel macchiato is born.)
Prices are super affordable. As in $2 to $3 cheaper for other places. The serving size is standard, so you $$ is going FAR! They have a teacher discount too so I am super thrilled since I am a teacher. ๐๐
The atmosphere is so peaceful. (Unless you arrive on Monday afternoons when the youth group from Most Holy Trinity is having hang out time. It gets a little raucous.) I love to take my computer in and get some work done, or just hang out with friends. The place is my favorite coffee stop in Brazoria County, replacing the previous top choice, Refined, in Lake Jackson.
This little cafe is a secret on the verge of becoming a local sensation, so come check it out so you can say you were one of the early adopters. ๐ seriously- best cup in the area. The only downside is there are no eats - no cookies, pastries, or food stuffs for sale, but when I say downside - I mean it makes this go from a perfect 5 โญ๏ธ...
ย ย ย Read moreWhat a neat place! The best little hidden gem. This is part/next to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, which was unexpected at first. When I walked in, I loved that the lights were low and had some light background music. Definitely calmer than most coffee shops.
The cost was inexpensive and everything was delicious. I tried a honey lavender latte and an oatmeal cranberry cookie (which are outsourced from Dot to Dot Baking).
There were maybe a handful of people that came through while I was working there for a couple of hours, so not as busy as other places, which I prefer. It was a little chilly in there for me, so bring a sweater.
All in all, that's it! Highly recommend to check this place out. I almost hesitated about posting this review because I wanted to keep this place to myself. ๐...
ย ย ย Read moreI decided to try this coffee shop since it was just a minor detour on my way back to Houston. I have to say that even in a small town one should expect a good solid latte. I was impressed that they didn't ask me what size (that always makes me nervous). Espresso +milk drinks should come in standard size, not a choice of small, medium, or large.
The prices are reasonable and the barista was very nice. There is plenty of room, and the atmosphere is very cozy...there is the option to enjoy indoors or sit outside and take in the beautiful neighborhood surrounding the coffeeshop/ church.
I got a lavender oat latte. For the most part it was nearly a perfect drink. They used Katz coffee for all of their drinks. When I am in the mood for a drive, this coffee shop will...
