I generally like this restaurant because the food is so good. I think they changed ownership or something however, because during the pandemic the service was MUCH better.
The last time we went, I ordered several meals for our party, and one was supposed to come with french fries (per the menu). When the meals came back out, the meal with french fries did not come out with french fries. When asked the waitress, she said that meal did not come with french fries. So I asked her to give me the menu. She gives me the menu, and I point to her that it clearly states it comes with french fries. She then goes on to state that the owner has poor English and is a Spanish speaker, so it was a mistake on the menu. I then ask to talk to the manager. The manager does not come out, but she says that they will give me the fries anyway.
She then goes on to state, other people have been complaining about this too.
I also noticed the quantities were reduced. In previous times that I had eaten here, I get their incredible poblano soup. Previously when ordering the largest size, I have been given a 16oz portion (which I get on purpose to take some home). This time I was given an 8 oz portion and charged for the same price.
Not sure what is going on here, perhaps they don't like their customers, or if you are not the kind of person they like you deserve a smaller quantity or not to be given what you ordered.
IF you go, the food is pretty good, just expect...
Read moreOn Friday, August 9th, I came in shortly before close with a to-go order for two, including a large soup, quesadilla, and cheese curds. When I was placing the bag in my car, the soup fell out of the bag and the styrofoam container split on the pavement, spilling half. I went back into the restaurant with the soup and explained what had happened, and said I did not expect a replacement soup, but could I please have another container so that I could get the remainder home. I was told yes, then after a few minutes heard arguing coming from the kitchen. The host came back out and apologized, and said that as she was getting me a new soup, her manager stepped in and said I must pay for it… then she said she was sorry again, but she had already thrown the rest of mine out. So my options were to pay for another soup, (which was not cheap at $10.82), or go hungry since that was my dinner. The manager didn’t even have the nerve to tell me herself. I tipped 20% on the replacement soup, because I felt bad for the poor host being forced to tell me the bad news. But due to lack of customer service and horrendous management, it is unlikely I...
Read moreI am editing this post due to the fact that my wife and I both got food poisoning from the burgers that we ate. They tasted pretty good, but I’ve come to find out that they were WAY undercooked. My wife and I will NOT be coming back to this place to eat. This previous paragraph was supposed to be the good before I got to the bad, but the food and the service is dreadful. I was in the drive thru and I ordered a cheesecake desert with my meal, and when they gave us our food I noticed that there wasn’t a cheesecake in the bag, so I went inside to get a cheesecake. That’s when they told me that they were out of cheesecake, so they said I could just get another desert, but the only deserts they had apparently were $2.99 and the cheesecake was $3.99. I decided I didn’t want to give them a free dollar for nothing because they didn’t offer to give me a refund. They then gave me a refund for a $2.99 desert instead of the refund of the cheesecake that I already purchased. After this I just left, not wanting to make a big scene at the restaurant that was busy. I am very disappointed with how this...
