Stopped in with my brother and sister-in-law on a Friday evening. I have watched the southwest corner of South Elizabeth St develop into different concepts since 1984. This new concept is fresh, and fits into the enovative theme of downtown Angola. The small plates, Tapas direction of the culinary scene across America is alive and well at the "Cork and Barrel". We enjoyed fine perfectly executed fine Burbon Manhattans and Mascow Mules. Our small plates, Maple Burbon Bacon, Crab Cakes, Salon Bites w/ dill, Ahi Tuna and wonderful Charcuterie Boad were extremely pleasing and presented.    Read moreRandomly came across this bar while we were walking down the road. We're glad we bumped into it because this place is amazing. It's relatively new and they've done a wonderful job with the interior. It has a warm and cozy vibe with a nice selection of food and drinks. The bartender was very entertaining and is a qualified mixologist. The owner is also a very sweet lady who has a true passion for what she does. We got a bloody mary and "nojito" (virgin mojito) and they were both really good! You won't find another place like this in town....

The decor is a 40's, speak easy type of vibe. The Crushing Daffodils band played adding musical ambience. They provide weekly live music that creates a relaxing and fun atmosphere.
