Our family are long-time members and we’ve experienced an incredibly welcoming atmosphere and unique and impactful experiences as our kids grew (volunteering, comparative religion, and much more). FCC is quite a family of accepting and open people who truly are making our world better.

As I was traveling for work, I came across this church in Ann Arbor. While I did not go inside, I was so impressed with their display of the colored doors proclaiming “Gods doors are open to all”. It warmed my heart and I could not have been more proud with their statement!

I was there for my aunt's memorial service. Lovely, lovely chapel. Beautiful pipe organ. The minister was 100% sincere and genuine when she spoke abt my aunt. Definately didn't "phone in" the eulogy.

I am in an interfaith marriage. My wife was raised in a Jewish tradition. My daughter attended religious school at Temple Beth Emeth where she also had her bat mitzvah some 15 years ago. Bob Livingston, the senior minister at that time even attended the first part of her bat mitzvah. My wife and daughter who are not members were also extended an invitation to volunteer during a one-week mission trip to help rebuild homes in Cameron Parish Louisiana which was devastated by Hurricane Rita in 2005 which was a very memorable experience for our family. The ministers at FCC have not only affirmed but have fully supported and welcomed our interfaith family ever since I became a member 32 years ago. FCC's inclusivity is truly emblematic of our tagline "Whatever your story, you're welcome here". FCC has also honored the age old Jewish tradition of hosting multiple Passover Seder meals at the church involving my wife, my daughter and my mother and father in law to help our members experience and better understand this very important Jewish tradition. Whatever your faith and wherever you are on your faith journey, you are respected, welcomed and loved at...

I joined FCC 39 years ago when I married my husband in his home church. I was immediately welcomed, and impressed at the truly loving and accepting community. Our ministers have all been beautiful, down to earth people who provide thoughtful sermons and are caring in times of need. I enjoy the simply adorned but gorgeous sanctuary as well as pilgrim Hall which is used for our contemporary services. This church has grown and changed with the times, always in a deliberate and compassionate way. We are independent with theology, finances and operations. We have plenty of ways to serve and be in fellowship. Two simple but perfect statements sum it up: “We are a beacon of Gods love and Christian hope”, and “Whatever your story, you are welcome here”. Please stop in and feel it...

If you haven't seen the Sunday School in this church, it is a sight to behold and so creative in its design! It looks like you are living during the time of Jesus....such a magical place, bound to inspire the imagination of each child who enters as to what it might have been like during the life of Jesus! At the beginning of the church service, children are invited to join one of the ministers during "Children's Circle" at the front of the church. After a brief bible lesson, they are asked to go with their teachers down to the wonderful Sunday School area. It is a great church to help your child gain a religious foundation, which will serve him/her for years to come. Helping others and having a "giving" heart are important lessons learned here...a special...
