Update April 9. Sadly I'm disappointed again on trip 2. I called and made an order for the Red bean ice cream for pickup. They said I could not pay on the phone but that they would scoop it up and have it ready in the freezer for my boyfriend to pick up. When he got there 45 min later they hadn’t prepared the dessert and it took them 15 minutes to get it scooped and paid for. They seem to be struggling.
I want this restaurant to thrive but in all honesty I have to share my recent negative experience. I ordered the sweet potato tempura sushi roll. Unfortunately the sweet potato breading was rubbery and cold and it didn’t seem very fresh. It’s a little thing but I asked for a side of eel sauce and it wasn’t included. I also ordered the Bi Bim Bop, my favorite Korean dish. The meat and rice were tasty and perfectly done. The veggies were fresh but bland. The egg was way over cooked being so crunchy on the bottom you had to cut it with a sharp knife and the yolk was hard not soft. It was a huge disappointment. Lastly I didn’t expect the whole thing to be drenched in hot sauce. I expect the Kim-chi to be spicy but have never had this dish soaked in hot sauce. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat it because to me it was painfully spicy. I asked for this over the phone so maybe it’s a misunderstanding and I now know to ask for zero hot sauce.
The red bean ice cream was generous and delicious. I will be back for that.
I hope this nice little restaurant can work out these bugs in good preparation. I will try them again but go in and order personally to see...
Read moreThe staff were incredibly friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my Taiwanese beef noodles. I will ask for no diced broccoli next time around. It was easy to separate from the dish. The broth was flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the miso soup and chicken wings, although we ordered chicken thighs but received all wings; perhaps they should update the menu. The crab cheese rangoon was generously filled with crab but lacked cream cheese. The rangoon made a delightful addition to my leftover broth. The jajangmyeon was decent but leaned more towards a Chinese style than Korean. We were so full that we saved our sushi roll for the next day. Luckily, the food arrived in just 15 minutes, leaving us plenty of time to browse the adjacent store. The prices were reasonable for the portions. We will try it again and give some other menu...
Read moreOk, so I know my photo is of an empty bowl but I can't properly convey how beautiful and delicious that veg Bibimbap looked with the perfect egg on top perfectly drizzled in chili AND the miso soup!!!!
This food was scrumdidillyumptious. I didn't know this spot was here, but the people were nice. The art was super cool. Oh, I do have some pictures of the art ,ignore my forehead.
Anyway, if you are in the area and want some good food from nice people, do it. I'm probably going to try the Yakisoba next and grab some of their Onigiri to try as well....or I might just get the Bibimbap AGAIN and try something else another time lol. We'll see, either way a photo of the food before I devour my carryout is in order. Thank you...
