Update: July 2023: this business actually reached out to me regarding feedback I gave them (via snackpass app) regarding a drink I thought might've been made with the wrong type of tea, so I am increasing the review to 4.5 stars. It's great when a business listens to you and tries to make things right. Update: June 2023: drink quality can be uneven, depending on who is making the boba tea. It also seems to me like there's a lot more ice scooped into each drink now (like each size cup is 3/4 full of ice) but maybe that's just me. I will update again as I go there over time. I'm sure some of it is growing pains with new staff. ---initial review: Really good quality tea and boba (bubble tea = with tapioca pearls). I have liked the strawberry fruit tea (black tea, iced version) and the matcha milk (comes w/ boba) tea. It is also very easy to order ahead online with the Snackpass app. I think their drinks are at a better price point when compared to many other boba places in town (but: after I wrote this, the prices were raised). They also have plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. It would be nice if they could mark which things have dairy in them because some people don't consume dairy or non-dairy creamer either because they are vegan or because they don't...
Read moreExcellent excellent Korean corn dogs!!! The batter is just the right amount, not too thick and not too thin. Decent sized, whether you order all sausage, cheese or half and half. Plus a variety of toppings to choose from, the first 2 are free.
First time here, so we ordered one half and half topped with honey mustard. The other was a full sausage hot dog topped with sugar and spicy mayo. Delicious! The sweetness of the sugar was the right balance to offset the spiciness of what tasted like a Sriracha sauce, not really lots of mayo.
For drinks, we ordered one taro milk tea with boba, sweet and heavy taro flavor, very good; plus one mango green tea, which was very floral smell to the senses... very refreshing on a hot day!
Highly recommend this place!!! Location is on southwest side of Ann Arbor near Ann Arbor Saline Road and Main Street. It's out of the downtown or even campus area, which would get more foot traffic, if they were closer. I hope that word of mouth gets out, so that they get lots of business to keep...
Read moreI've heard of Palgong via Youtube. I had always watched cafe vlogs of employees making drinks and always found satisfying and I always told myself "If I ever go to Korea, I'm trying Palgong" but now Palgong came to me, period! 😎 I went to Palgong for the Grand Opening and managed to be #40 in line! yay free milk tea for a year~ I ordered the green grape ade and strawberry cream latte both in regular size. I had always wanted to try Korean Ade drinks and it did not disappoint. Its sweet & sour, bubbly, and refreshing. Make sure you mix it before drinking so the grape can be distributed throughout the drink. Highly recommend you try it! I'll be trying the strawberry cream latte later, can't wait. 😋 Also everyone here were so sweet, we even got to try samples of the corndogs (I also wanted to try them for a while now too), very tasty! I got to try 2 pieces so I tried both the cheese and the sausage hehe. I'll definitely get...
