Truck's Place Restaurant Antigo — Restaurant in Antigo

We only thought the food here was ok. I got the baked Haddock special and it had a fishy tasty, but also the seasoning added was not good. My daughter ordered the chopped steak and I never read about on the menu, but when it came out, there were almost more onions than steak. I am kinda wondering why they wouldn't have asked a child ordering it if they were ok with onions (because of them being on top only and excessive). I love onions,, but the onions did NOT taste good. Her steak in and of it self was ok. My sons ordered the walleye, I would say that was average. Lastly, my husband got the jumbo shrimp, he would give that 4 to 5 stars. Went in this past week. One waitress working had a bad cough and the other with a runny nose. (Both symptoms of COVID-19) I did not see that any of the staff were masked. I asked one of the waitresses, "why?" I was told that "it is not mandatory." I said, how about out of protection and consideration of your customers? The waitress I was speaking with said some that work there "just can't wear a mask." With that poor demonstration of knowledge about current public safety policies or care for the people coming in the doors tells me this is not a good place to go. Trucks Management? GREAT FOOD FOR LOW PRICES. I first found their great food at their Birnamwood location, and I was excited when they opened in Antigo. Plus they are a great replacement for the bad restaurant that use to be in that building (Country Kitchen). The last restaurant in that building had a good nationwide name, but this country kitchen had horrible service, lazy cooks, and owners that didnt care, SO when Trucks Place moved in, majority of the town rejoiced with smiles and ready stomachs...
