I love the food here always great. Until I ordered my favorite Crab Rangoon which was put into a Styrofoam containers. I had to throw most of it out except for the couple of ones on the top. I can't understand why someone can't see how unhealthy even toxic it is to put very hot or hot fried food into an unlined soft melting toxic chemical container. The food melts through the Styrofoam and makes indentations and several holes are completely burned through the container. Now the food is coated in burnt Styrofoam that you are supposed to consume. This is going into your body. This is upsetting to me because I usually will not eat the food and throw it away. I become angry about the experience because I really wanted the food to eat and also because I am throwing my money away.
I will usually ask before I order if they have Styrofoam containers for take out or dine in options as well. I will always make another choice to go elsewhere to purchase a meal. But sometimes I try a new place just hoping that they have more regard for their patrons and the environment. There are so many restaurants that use this chemical to serve food on which we consume. Cancer, neurological issues can arise from this practice. All because it's cheap.Well it is not cheap if you look at the big picture. Styrofoam will not decompose in over one million years. Yes that is correct, over one million years. It will still be here. It also breaks into pieces that wildlife mistake as something to eat. It then gets caught in their throats and digestive systems. Styrofoam is Not recyclable. It is not biodegradable. It is trash that fills our landfills and ends up in the oceans. It litters our land. Everyday disposable Styrofoam containers are used and disposed of in all over the US. Why? There are many other choices for containers that restaurants can use that are not toxic to humans and the environment. They are recyclable and biodegradable. Paper and cardboard is a great option. The newer environmental containers that are made out of recycled products. These types are not going to destroy our health our environment or wildlife. Honestly I think this...
Read moreIs there a star lower than 1? #1 China is a correct name because they only get 1 star. This was the worst Chinese restaurant I have ever purchased food from. When I called in my order, the conversation was abrupt without a "hello" or a "goodbye". The taker of the order literally hung up on me after "'kay" when I finished my order (a pint of chicken fried rice). I wasn't told how long it would take so I didn't know how long I had to finish a piece of work before I had to get there while it was still hot.
So I just went to pick it up as it is right down the road & when I walked in he asked me what I ordered. I told him & he dropped it on the counter & told me the price. I paid but I did not tip due to how utterly abrasive the service was. I was rather impressed (but slightly apprehensive) about how quickly my order was ready.
Well I should have been worried. The chicken was undercooked & the rice was spongy or wet. It tasted awful & I ended up throwing the entire pint away without eating hardly any of it because of my discovery regarding the chicken.
I understand they were busy on a Wednesday night, but there is absolutely no excuse for the quality of the food. When you offer a service & people pay for that service they expect a certain quality in that service. Period.
Otherwise you wasted time & money on both sides of this fence.
This is the 2nd time I have bought food from this restaurant with the same result. There will not...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative reading I’d do it times a thousand. After getting a call saying our food is ready we arrive and wait at minimum 45 minutes. I understand people get behind as I am in the food industry as well and waiting wasn’t the problem. We go to pay for our order and want to add one soup and the owner tells me that it’s not possible meanwhile we are spending over $100 on food. We have been to this place before and they always forget something that we paid for. Once again after being turned away we bought food that we weren’t given. “We called back and the owner stated she doesn’t have time to address our issues” We were missing 1/3 of our items and the items we received were burnt. Honestly, if there’s one thing we could do to help you is tell you to save your money and GO ELSEWHERE. Anything is better than this place! Apex is very busy now and there’s so many other places locally to choose from after we paid over $100 we went to China chef five minutes away and got everything we needed. They were very busy and they still accommodated us and we’re very polite and professional. Try...
