Was very disappointed and dissatisfied with our meal and service here. I expected much more based on the reviews but was very let down. We came for a simple meal for my daughter’s birthday and it felt like microwaved fast food. It was only about half full when we got there and most were already well into their meals.
Dumplings were so/so and just looked poorly presented and plated. They were well filled at least. We got them fried and they were barely so.
The honey chicken was super or overly hot with the sauce which makes it feel microwaved and the chicken was super tiny pieces almost likely all breading and no meat, just tossed with basically raw veggies. Not steamed or sautéed or flavored at all just crunchy raw bell peppers and mushrooms and i guess the carrots were slightly soft.
The sweet and sour chicken came with again raw veggies on top. Raw onion and bell pepper. Not a nice presentation or dish.
“Fried” rice was just white rice which looked doused in soy sauce it was not any traditional fried rice I have ever encountered. None of us liked it.
What was worse is when we walked in it was hot, loud and tiny space with large fan blowing. The young male waiter came to our table like he was so busy and couldn’t barely be bothered to properly speak to us and tell us about their offerings or anything. Just spoked barely loud enough and said something about the menu we had to scan for. You basically order on your phone. So if you have questions about things you have to get up and go find someone to ask.
Others already there and coming in after us were having a good time it seemed but we were totally ignored completely. Another table was sat after us next to us and the owner/manager older gentleman came and chatted and giggled with them and played some little game with them that was on the table. They seemed accepted and appreciated.
Again we were completely ignored by staff. I even had to ask for chopsticks. I guess they assume you don’t need or want them if you don’t match their type of guest. Or get any kind of additional service or even barely basic minimum service. Didn’t even ask to refill our drinks. It was very odd experience and we would not return here again.
Edit: in response to this owner response they clearly aren’t even addressing our myriad of complaints or concerns. When we came in we were the only new ones and everyone else had food. And others AFTER it got busy were greeted. We were not greeted or spoken to or anything and were ignored. The server barely said anything and ran off. Again never to be seen again until our food came and plopped down and gone again. We were not greeted or given any service hardly at all. Basically a step above fast food. I was barely even mentioning the phone/QR ordering. The issue was that NO ONE introduced themselves or showed us around the menu or offerings to a new customer and food was sub par in the end. You lost us. One and done. We won’t...
Read moreWe came here a few weeks ago for dinner. Our order was taken about 25 min after we sat down. Drink order taken close to 15 min after we sat down. They only had 3 people working the floor which included a waitress that said she only takes the drink orders and not food orders, so really only 2 people taking orders and getting out food. I ordered shrimp fried rice with no peas and carrots, just the egg and onion. The waitress repeated my order twice to me. After 25-30 min the food comes. My kids orders are fine, but they brought me a plate of fried rice with no shrimp. The waitress apologized and placed another order. Apparently there’s a higher waitress/waiter they must go thru to get the order right. They bring my next order out(#2) still wrong this time there’s no egg or onion. Just rice and shrimp. I speak with the waitress again, she’s go to a male waiter and he looks at the order on the monitor and tells her to place another order, not apologetic at all. The boss lady waitress comes over to find out what the problem is and she apologizes takes the food away and instead she takes order. Order #3 comes out the same freaking way. Each time they assured me my order would be correct. Finally I decided I’m not waiting another 20 min to have my food served, I tell the waitress to remove my order from the bill because I’m getting it to go and I’ll pay at the register. The young guy at the register takes my order, he also repeats it to me(order #4). Oddly enough my to go order is ready in less than 10 minutes vs waiting while dining inside, but guess what I received... the same order. He gets the manager this time, and it’s the same lady that took order #3! Apparently she is the head of the restaurant, but she was also waiting on tables. I ask her why is it that my order has come out wrong 4 times? She says the peas, carrots, and onions come in the same bag and it’s time consuming to pick out the peas and carrots, and they were very busy. There was roughly 17 people in there. I looked at her and asked her if you knew that why didn’t you say that? You took my order the third time. Instead of constantly bringing me the wrong order? I asked her are customers supposed to pay for food you want them to have or for food they ordered? She repeats how busy they are, and offers me a refund? Which I accepted since I wasn’t going to receive the food that I ordered anyway. I’m giving them 1star because of the lack of communication in which the manger had full knowledge of and because of the service. We were there for an hour and a half. My kids said their...
Read moreAfter my first visit, I'm shocked by these reviews. It was the most awful Chinese food experience I've ever had. It was my daughter's 9th birthday and she has a new love for dumplings. I on the other hand love a orange chicken or general tso's (I'm basic). As such, we tried Mr. Dumpling for the good reviews and their assortment of dumplings (including vegetarian). AMBIANCE: there are unpacked boxes all over the dining and food prep area. The bathroom had a broken urinal, and to signal that, they placed a box upside down on the handle. The dining area had dead crickets and an employee walking around killing flies with a electric zapper. FOOD: This like I said the worst. Having stuck to mainly 2 dishes most of my life, I've had orange chicken several hundred times from over a 100 places. This was the worst, and the only time I've ever eaten less than half and decided the rest isn't worth boxing up for later. Calling them prices of chicken would be an exaggeration. Most of the pieces were so hard my metal fork wouldn't penetrate. I asked for a steak knife and I was able to finally break a few open. Many were just fried batter. Zero chicken. Others were slivers of flattened chicken with so much batter. All were over-cooked and mostly inedible. Scallion pancakes was actually just ONE pancake lol. Simple name change would be appreciated. Dumplings were good but definitely not good enough to...
