
What happened on November 26 , 2024 was very unprofessional , unkind, and very concerning.
I have brought our daughter for a play date with a friend . While watching my own child , I have noticed that a certain large area was not supervised at all and it was chaotic and some children were acting beyond unsafe . Then I noticed that the employee who was responsible for overseeing the area has been talking to one of the parents while turned completely away from the area that she was supposed to observe and enforce some safety per SkyZone expectation of its employees. This was actually not the first time I have noticed that particular employee talking for extensive periods of time and not assisting with making sure the children do not act unsafe. That continued for over 35 minutes … it was getting more and more chaotic .
I ,calmly, came up to a different employee at the front and ask how many employees were on the floor right now since it’s been getting chaotic without any supervision in a certain large area. Another employee approached me who claimed to be the manager…
I asked if someone could please watch the area since the employee there has been talking for a very long time and not watching what was happening around her.
The manager or she might’ve been in the role of the manager rolled her eyes at me and ran to the aforementioned employee .
I stood back for a few minutes and then returned to my seat … The two parents , two ladies, were giving me dirty looks and the employee was doing the same .
I sat down calmly and continued watching my own child and her friend .
The lady who was sitting beside me started to ask me disrespectful questions.
All of a sudden , many employees appeared on the floor and “aggressively” started passing by me while looking at me directly .
The behavior on the floor got better and safer after all the employees started doing the job they were expected to be doing , not just standing there and talking to each other or parents for extended periods of time . I later was going to the restroom and it was even more shocking to see the manager and many other employees by the registers literally “ gossiping” with the lady who sat beside me and insulted me with her words It was beyond unprofessional and incredibly immature and unkind for an adult to discuss another adult with the employees who are still “kids” instead of asking them to do what they are hired to do in the first place .
I haven’t done anything but addressed a valid concern and the manager acted unprofessionally by going to the employee and openly talking about my expressed concern in front of others instead of quietly pulling her employees to the side and addressing the situation.
I walked away because it was starting to be more than I ever expected in a simple situation like that .
One of the employees followed me to persuade me that there were employers who watched that area , but I saw with my own eyes where those employees were and they were not covering a very large open area where some children were acting beyond unsafe and no one directed them to act otherwise. Then the manager approached me with the same aggressive attitude and started saying I was “rude” while all asked was a valid question.
She continued arguing… With that said and the behavior I experienced yesterday afternoon, I am afraid that I will be getting a very bad treatment while bringing my child to SkyZone for a play time in the future . We would like to know who was an adult ( real supervisor) in charge on November 26 in the afternoon because it would be very disappointing to realize that the young person who claimed to be the manager was the actual manager . SkyZone is a place for the children and their parents to feel comfortable, not feel afraid to be intimidated and attacked if there were a concern of safety and professional responsibility.

Read moreThis is a late review and a long one .I had booked the VIP package for my kid’s birthday 2 weeks before the party and made sure that I had mentioned the number of Pizzas and Drinks required.We had also updated the number of kids coming to jump for the party.Our party was supposed to start at 5.15 and No associate were available to assist us and give us the trolley.We repeatedly followed up with them to make sure the kids get sufficient time to jump.The party was started at 5.45 and all my guests were waiting for half an hour.At 7 O' Clock I went to check back and see when the party hall will be open so that I can hand over the decorations.The assigned associate was not available and then I had to again ask many times to ensure that the party starts at 7.30 atleast.Somone came at 7.40 and she was just a spectator and did not help with any decorations and we along with our guests did the decorations by ourself and the party started after 8.We had ordered one cheese and one pepperoni and what we got was 2 cheese.I had requested for Sprite,Lemonade and Fruit Punch .I was given Coke and Sprite and Nothing else.When asked, the associate said they don't have Lemonade or Fruit Punch Available .That was not communicated to me before . I called up on the same day to make sure we have every thing and all I heard was yes.
After the party was over, the same associate did not give any attention to us to hand over the kid's goodies .When finally asked , she put all the Defy bottles in a Crate and handed it over to me(without any bags).We are totally disappointed with the whole experience and will never recommend Defy Gravity to anyone.
When I insisted that I need to talk to the manager,one guy came claiming he is the manager. He gave me a 10% discount which cannot undo the terrible experience we had(that too by asking one another associate).When questioned, being a manager , why does he need to take a different person's opinion ,he said 'Don't come to me with this attitude'.Sorry to say but I did tell him that if you mess a well planned birthday party ,this is the kind of attittude you receive.Though he said he apologize for the entire experience, I don't think he really does.
I understand that Changes happen..But what I required was a better communication so that I could have planned accordingly.
This was a milestone birthdayfor my kid and as hosts we were literally insulted in front of our guests.
If you have such irresponsible Associates and Managers,You are definitely gonna lose business.

Read moreThis place seems pretty new and has a lot to do. That’s where the compliments end. It was so out of control, crowded and just dirty! no toilet paper in at least two stalls of the women’s bathroom actual trash on bathroom floors, lobby floors, etc kids running and screaming all over the play areas and lobby with no staff keeping things under control. At one point at least 10 kids RAN out the front door screaming about how it was snowing a little. No adults stopped them or supervised that they just were out in the parking lot suddenly. upon arrival on a Sunday afternoon there were two people in line to pay in front of us. It took 20 full minutes for them to process/pay those two and when it was my turn it was truly astonishing how long it took (waivers were complete before getting in line) to just pay and get bracelets on my kids. About 10 full minutes. Why?? the water fountains had actual trash and filth so my kids wouldn’t use them. every single table and bench was DIRTY the whole two hours we were there and never once did I see any staff clean a single thing. at the zip line there was a grown kid - maybe 15 yrs old - doing something crazy where he would fling his body in a rough way and drop before he was supposed to - over and over - and as he would let go of the handle he did it so it would flip up and hit the cables and make a huge scary noise and nearly missed kicking kids in the head several times. Finally a staff member saw and yelled for him to stop just as I was getting up to get help and he quit doing it at that point.
Maybe this was a “one off” but I will never go there again. An absolutely chaotic and dirty place. Such a shame because it has great potential! The one in Durham can also get crowded but it has never been a mess and out of control like that. They have staff in each area making sure it’s safe....
