Burger King — Restaurant in Appleton

I like this location. It's pretty good. The play area was cool until something bad happened six years ago from today on Thursday February 22nd, 2018 at night. This was when the blues started falling down. A little boy hit and slapped me at this Burger King. I cried. This was back when I was nine years old. His brother wearing glasses was there and the mean little boy was there and hit his mother. The boy said, "It's ok." Mom said, "No it's not ok. You will have a time out when we get home." He was my nemesis in 2018. Three months later, I think I saw the same people at the Wendy's by the mall. I was playing Professor Layton and The Unwound Future on the Nintendo DS when eating. I saw the boy I got scared. I was so lucky I didn't get bullied or took my toy. Six months later, at Mary's Restaurant in Appleton, I was playing the same game on my Nintendo DS and I think I saw the same boy with his brother and mom. They walked past me and sat ahead of where I was sitting. If they would have sat behind me than it's even more scary, because they could hit me from behind. I was so lucky I didn't get bullied even though they walked past me. First time I revisited this Burger King was on July 29, 2023 and I was alright. I haven't seen that boy since Mary's Restaurant. The first person that took our order was nice; she was young and seemed to actually want to help us with our order. Would've given it a 4 or 5 stars if it weren't for our exeperience after that. After we finished eating, we decided to get some take out for the folks at home. My brother went to order and use the coupons on the mobile, BUT when they couldn't find the coupons on their register, they said it was because the coupons must have been outdated and blamed my phone and their app. I had gotten the app only a couple hours before going to Burger King. The older woman, who seemed to be a manager also, blamed MY phone and THEIR app, saying it was outdated and walked away, which was super rude. That whole ordeal took 10 minutes. She did not have a friendly face on, and treated us like a hindrance. I've never met a worker so rude. After another 10 minutes of waiting, she finally came back and corrected it and we got our food, but my brother didn't like the treatment; he was ready to leave without the food because he was pissed and upset. If I could rate it less than 1 start I would. Rules and regulations not followed to Wisconsin state requirements. Breakfast isn't so bad when it comes to fresh food. Now when you get to the point where you're talking about burgers and possible with Whoppers and other things you can trust that your food is probably been sitting there already for almost an hour. This according to Wisconsin regulations, safe serve regulations for licensing, and Burger King holdings requirements, valley King has failed for the last 20 years. Their lettuce is brown and they blame it on the season. Please note I do reviews for numerous restaurants and it's found to be quite questionable when no other restaurant has that issue. So the next time you order lunch or supper at a Burger King AKA valley King in the area open up your burger and look at the lettuce I bet you won't eat. There are times that are required on the food once the time is up. They repush the timer to reset it. Then leave the timed out food in the pan to use.
