Disclaimer: Yes my ratings are a bit higher during Covid because effort is something I appreciate more and some things are not in the control of the restaurant. That said, this place is worth the visit. Non Covid would have been a solid 4 star, but who knows what they are dealing with and the food was good, chips were great and one of the salsas was fire. Service and setting were spot on as well, given Covid restrictions and outdoor dining.
Setting: they have a huge tent in their back parking lot with plenty of heaters and room for parking which is a plus.
Service: Very good, but short of great since we waited for a few things like our check, but again, they have to go inside and outside and can’t always see what a table needs. I’m sure they are shirt staffed as well. The rest of the time, they were spot on with salsa, chips and water. They also had each other’s backs and helped each other’s tables which is cool. Hate going to a place and the server says “let me get your server”. Argh. Teamwork!
Food: starting with the great. Chips were light and unique. I love the hard crunchy style but my GF prefers the light delicate ones. Perfect match of both. Not sure how they do it, but very unique. Salsas were also on the great side. Green was fire and tasty. Red was tasty but didn’t have the kick I prefer but great with chips. Fresh guacamole was also fire. My GF loves guac and she said was one of the best. Even better that they make it fresh, because she doesn’t do raw onions and most already have it pre-made. I had the champion burrito which had Chile relleno and carne asada. Very tasty and huge. I only finished a quarter because the chips were so good and I ate a taco from my GFs combo, so may need to edit later. My quest tells was good, but didn’t have much carne asada - yet. My GF got the three item combo, cause I wanted a crispy taco, which was also very good. The kind of food you would expect from a combo like this. Hard beef taco, green enchilada (love that you can choose sauce) and Chile relleno which was the best of the three.
All in all, I will be back since the prices were reasonable, food very good and they have a lot of space to accommodate...

Read moreThis restaurant is a gem! Go there before the cooks retire! This restaurant offers the perfect flavors on your favorite dishes, and the portion sizes make anyone happy. The restaurant is a time machine of goodness. Wood adorns everything and they have wagon wheel motifs everywhere, but don't worry, you're about to go back in time to the best Mexican food you had when your family was still all together and everything was right in the world.
I had their two crispy beef tacos with rice and beans. My nephews had street tacos and the carne asada plate, and my sister had a crispy taco. Everything was perfect and well put together. You could really bite that crispy taco and it would break and give to your teeth with the soft, juicy meat pulling away from the taco, leaving it intact in your fingers along with the right amount of lettuce, cheese, and salsa with every bite. Everyone enjoyed themselves and all complimented the food. We had a lot of fun here and the food was the main reason.
The wait staff was all female and super attentive. They seemed genuinely happy to greet us and were lovely in their work. A real seamless delivery of food and drinks with no pressure to choose our entrée.
The price is very reasonable and the food is consistently great. You'll have a...
