I have to say that these sandwiches are worth EVERY penny, but more importantly.....
I recently had a strange complaint (it happens, nobody is perfect). Though, it was the way it was handled.... we had a terrible phone connection and I couldn't hear what the gentleman was saying and I'm sure he couldn't hear what I was saying either. I was at work, in a hurry, and just tried to be clear due to the lack of being able to hear clearly.... anyhow, I actually received a call back with a beautiful voice message saying they would be happy to make my experience better. Even on a bad day, believe me, that sandwich didn't go to waste!!! It's not about my complaint nor was the order bad (everything was good) what really hit me was the care and customer service. Oak deli, if you read this, I'll be back! Thank you for the call. I don't need anything more, it was ate up with fat bellies and big smiles. I'm glad to know people care. Thank you! Looking forward to our...
Read moreHonestly just bummed out about this place.. I love the location and the concept, but the service is just bad. Usually its one cook and one dishwasher and their doing what they can, so I don't mind a long wait. This time it was very obviously that the owner was working, so 2 cooks. My partner and I wanted to stop for a quick 2 pretzels and beer cheese. After waiting 15mins they brought out sandwiches and two pretzels for the people that ordered after us, we mentioned then that we had ordered two pretzels as well and the owner was dismissive. We continued to wait another extended period of time til they finally brought out less than we ordered with out apologizing and were dismissive again. It would have gone a long way for the owner to just apologize for the wait or anything at all. They clearly messed up our order, not that big of a deal but the way they handled it and the fact that it always takes way too long to get your order there makes for a very...
Read moreupdated review: Still a great BLT. I think it would be helpful for this Deli to start a ticket and numbering process, where you take a ticket from a machine, and that number matches your place in the ordering process, and that number is matched to your order. It would help keep customer's organized and would keep fewer orders from falling in the cracks during a rush.
There is so much conflict in every day, that even if I speak up or ask a question or point something out as polite as possible, it feels confrontational to me, and I generally find living in any American city to be a struggle and a chore these days.
1st review: Probably the best BLT I have ever had. The focaccia was so tasty. The greens were fresh. The bacon was a...
