This review is for the Archbold location, not sure because I seen people are talking about both locations. We used to love the food here, unfortunately it has gone down hill. Our order is always the same, we each get the seafood fajitas, might seem biased to some, but the quality and quantity are not there anymore. Once we got it to go and the scallops were so chewy from being overcooked they were not edible, thank god my dog can swallow them whole. But come on who wants to spend that much money for a seafood dinner for the dog. I called and the manager was not in, and never called me either, obviously they don’t care. So we didn’t eat there for a long time. Well I got a craving, my husband said you know its just going to be a disappointment. And he was right, we ate in this time, and there was a seed, maybe from a lemon, the barely English speaking woman said lime, in my pepsi, either way we were grossed out. While she just smiled and chuckled, yeah real funny for an almost $44 dinner plus a $5 tip. We should have walked out then, but no me being the idiot that I am, said no maybe it flew across the kitchen to calm my grossed out husband. When the dinners came, they were about half of what they used to be, mostly mushrooms and onions, and the scallops had that gritty, did not get washed well enough texture, seafood lovers know what I am talking about, and I will just...
Read moreService was great when visiting the restaurant before covid. My wife and I made this spot our go to for Mexican. However we have been un impressed with the last few times we have done take out. Last visit we waited over an hour in our car after we were told our food would be ready due to them running out of rice. This is a main ingredient to all of their dishes. Due to waiting the rest of our food sat for that entire time and was cold. My wife is pregnant and due to covid we attempt to social distance ourselves. No attempt was made to inform us why it took so long. They even charged our card before we received our food and made no attempt to reimburse us after we stated we wanted our money back due to the wait and would go elsewhere. ( close to $80 for 4 person family) After arguing with staff we finally received our food. Nothing tasted fresh and was quite greasy with little to no flavor other than that grease. We used to love this restaurant but since covid their quality and staff has not impressed us. I hate to give a bad rating as I've worked in the food industry. I can relate to having a bad day but this has been a repeated experiance the last 3 times we have ordered. Due to the above reasons I DO NOT Recommend...
Read moreComing from California, where the best Mexican food in the country can be found, I already had low expectations for Mexican food in Ohio. Somehow, this restaurant managed to fall even lower—this was, without a doubt, the worst Mexican food I have ever had. The food was completely bland, utterly flavorless, and so unappetizing that I could barely stomach three bites before losing my appetite entirely. It was a complete waste of time and money, and every single one of my coworkers felt the same way.
To make matters worse, the service was just as bad. Our waitress greeted us with a noticeable attitude and, instead of any semblance of hospitality, the first thing out of her mouth after we sat down was a flat, uninterested "What do you want to drink?" No greeting, no warmth—just pure indifference.
Terrible food, terrible service, and an overall miserable experience. If you’re looking for good Mexican food, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. This place is not worth a single dollar. Avoid...
