Experience: smelled wonderful on arrival. Ordered a pound of brisket, pound of ribs, and a pound of sausage. Was told they were out of ribs, fine, it’s Father’s Day, I get it; and the sausage was about to come off the smoker. It would be about 15 minutes. Ok, I’ll wait for the sausage, just up the brisket to a pound and a half. Got the order extremely fast, not much in the bag, and asked what it was. Was told it was a pound and a half of brisket. Where’s the sausage? Oh we’re out. I’m sorry. But we will have some coming off the smoker in about 10 minutes. Yeah, I know that’s why I ordered some. I’ll wait. Oh, well we didn’t charge you for the sausage. Ok fine, I’ll just take the brisket.
Food: Brisket has a great flavor, not overly smokey, but a subtle smoke flavor to enhance the meat nicely. Could have maybe used another hour or two on the smoker. Not quite fork tender. Sauce compliments the meat well, not overpowering. The brisket was unfortunately cut WITH the grain and served , creating rubber bands, and effectively ruining what is I’m sure a great piece of brisket. Guess I’ll chop it up and make sandwiches. Ribs and sausage, cannot review.

I was promptly greeted by several ladies on staff and held a conversation with the sweetest woman while waiting for my "to go" order. It is a bit on the pricey side yet falls in line with other restaurants of this type. It was chilly &windy when I stopped in which is why I got it to go; so even though it's an outdoor venue- You have options ;) Turkey &brisket were delicious but do have a strong smoke taste so if you do not like a smoky meat then stick to Dickeys. Read moreThe best part about this place the outside. Such a fun place to go. The food to me isn’t good. It all tasted unfinished. The apple claw need a better sauce to tie it together. The potato salad need a sauce or just more of what ever sauce they have. A little bit of mayo, mustard and salt will go a long way on the potato salad. The beans I didn’t like at all. To me bbq beans should be kinda sweet and not spicy and savory. They really tasted like they came right out of a can. The meat was okay.
