I wish this review was better. We regularly eat at Marti B's down FM 407 and this place is another restaurant in the chain of restaurants owned by Marty Bryan. We are trying not to make the experience in this place jade our overall attitude toward these restraunts.
What is this restaurant: It is an overpriced Chipolte without the variety. The only offerings were burrito bowls and salads. They do have chips.
Price: Vaquero Bowls and a salad (no drinks) $36.00. At chipolte this would have been a burrito bowl , salad, Chips, Guacamole and drinks for the same price.
Taste: It was ok. The taste was fine but it is just like Chipolte.
Ambiance: Too noisey.
Service: We started out as a party of 8. 4 adults and 4 kids ranging in age from 1 to 6 years old. While we went to order, one of us sat at a couple of tables with the children. It was at that time that the manager came out and advised that no one could sit until everyone ordered. When we explained we were ordering and the children were sitting out of the way with supervision it did not seem to satisfy the manager and it ended up most my of our party left. As my wife and I finished our meal my wife found a foreign object in her salad (Piece of Avacado pit). When staff came to clear our table we pointed it out to her. We made no demands and began to leave the restaurant. The manager came running after us and immediately threw his staff under the bus and blamed them for the error. We brought up the whole issue from the beginning about the tables. In the end the manager informed us that he contacted Marty Bryan (his relative) and Marty Bryan told him to kick us out of the tables. Really???? I am assuming this was just a bad day for the manager and we shall see if this place survives a year. We just will...
Read moreAs much as I was impressed my first time to visit on Saturday, I am disappointed tonight. Ordered practically the same BYOB. Asked for 1/2 grain and 1/2 greens bowl instead of all rice and all lettuce, and server looked at me like I had 2 heads. Repeated several times. He then plopped one scoop of rice in my bowl and waited. Finally his coworker took the bowl from him and put in shredded lettuce. I would have preferred the mixed greens, but at that point beggars can’t be choosers. So we go on down the line as the server spoons in 1/2 a spoonful of my choices. Since the cheese stuck to the spoon, I only received a few flakes of cheese. I ordered double meat like on Saturday. Last time they could barely get the lid on the bowl, but this time the bowl had all kinds of room. And I inquired about the marinated tomatoes, and server tried to give me the picked onions. I said that I didn’t want the pickled onions, but the tomatoes, and he thought I wanted the pickled onions and tried to give me the marinated tomatoes. What? Know your products! And just FYI, the marinated tomatoes have cucumbers in them, which I HATE, but it was too late at that point. The mgr said there were just a few and I could pick them out. Not sure if I will be back. Servers don’t understand, don’t know their product selections and were very skimpy tonight. I should have passed on the tip. For fast food Texas Mex bowl for almost $20, not sure...
Read moreMarty B’s Branded Bowls isn’t just another build-your-own-bowl destination; it elevates the fast-casual dining experience with fresh, flavorful ingredients and unique combinations. While they do offer salads, the true highlights are their signature bowls. I tried the Vaquero Bowl, a delightful mix of Mexican rice, charro beans, tender barbacoa, queso fresco, roasted corn, peppers, onions, pico de gallo, tortilla strips, cilantro, and a delectable jalapeño ranch dressing. The barbacoa was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, while the jalapeño ranch added a creamy kick that tied everything together. Other tempting options, like the Asian Bowl with fried shrimp and chili sauce, and the Power Bowl with quinoa and ground turkey, promise equally innovative flavors.
In addition to bowls, Marty B’s offers a great selection of street tacos and quesadillas, ensuring there's something for everyone. The Branded Greek salad and the Branded Salad provide a refreshing option as well.
With six restaurants and an event venue opening soon, Marty B’s is on the rise in the culinary scene in North Texas. Whether you’re a bowl lover, a taco fan, or just craving a delicious meal, be sure to check out Marty B’s...
