We moved to Argyle 4.5 years ago from Flower Mound. We love living in the country, but how we miss our favorite pizza places! There are only 3 places to get food in Argyle, and only one delivers....you guessed it...Giovanni's. Therefore, we have endured the low quality food only because that is all that is available in a pinch. The pizza is one very tiny step up from Mr. Jim's pizza, and I would rather eat the box than Mr. Jim's pizza. The rewards program is a joke too. They accumulate points based on purchases, and for every $1 you spend, you get a point. After 100 points, you get a $5 certificate. However, they won't let you use the certificate toward the price of one of the specials. I can't think of one good thing to say about Giovanni's except that if you are in a bind and have to have food delivered in Argyle, Gio's is it. I suggest you order a two liter bottle of Coke as well, because you're going to need it to wash down the...
Read moreFirst order was a couple pizzas. Not to bad. Delivery was really quick. Second order just wanted a sandwich. Ordered the classic italian sub. It comes with just the meat and cheese. Asked for lettuce tomatos and black olives. 1.50 each topping. A 7$ sub just jumped to 11. So i had them take off the veggies. Not paying 1.50 per topping. Ill give them one more chance.
Edit: i will only return for the pizza. Although the sandwich tasted good the lack of veggies and small size is what did it in. Also the girl behind the counter was quite rude. A simple thank you would have prevented this.
Edit#2- how y’all gonna change me for pizza toppings when all I want is a cheese pizza. Giovanni’s charges for two toppings even if you don’t want them. Guy on the phone couldn’t understand why I was questioning...
Read moreThis is about the only place that will deliver to my house. Overall mediocre pizza. We got the Margherita pizza, a veggie pizza and a Buffalo chicken pizza. The Buffalo chicken pizza was definitely the star of the show. It was one of the best Buffalo chicken pizzas I have had. The flavors, the spice and the amount of toppings were spot on. The Margherita pizza was bland and generic. I wish they had diced up the tomatoes instead of putting whole slices on top, that was the consensus at the table, and it needed fresh mozzarella instead of shredded. The veggie pizza was ok. Nothing extraordinary, and I thought that green olives were a strange topping that competed with the flavors of some of the more delicate veggies on the pie. I highly recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza. The rest were...
