Argyle has needed something like this for many years. I grew up in Agyle & drove all the way from Keller to try it out. It is very charming & decorated extremely nice. My fire roasted tortilla soup last week was amazing & my husband's hamburger was delicious. We came for breakfast expecting so much more than we received. I thought farm to table would go out of the way to make the absolute best pancakes & waffles you could imagine. Like Grandma use to make. Perhaps the chef needs some down home insight or practice. But this is nothing like I grew up with on the farm. The coffee was the absolute worst I have ever had. Very bitter, very burnt no matter how much creamer or sugar I put it didn't change a thing. Now you have to understand that I'm a coffee girl I have 350 coffee pots and 250 dairy creamers & I'm a firm believer that by Colombia & Costa Rica grow the best bean, granted it is in the roast & that roast should be medium & robust. The arabica bean is not all that it's made out to be. They say it's grown at the top of the mountain but I guess I like the sludge at the bottom of the hill. I do believe that the owners are wonderful people & they love people love God & love their country. The very reason we chose to support this business. And I do hope they take this with constructive criticism & kindness not an attack. But if customers don't share with you what they're unhappy with how can you ever make it better. The pancake was very wet & very thin at best you could call it a puffy crepe. I'm not a fan of a crispy pancake & I sure don't like a rubbery pancake which is what most serve. A pancake is supposed to be slightly crispy on the outside but when you bite into it, it should bounce back with lots of little air pockets. It was very hard to pay $18 & still be hungry. I basically ate a few strawberries a few blueberries & two pieces of bacon for $18. I do believe the owners care but just were not aware that some people will just eat anything & others won't share insight to help make things better they just won't ever come back. I don't want y'all to go out of business I want you to grow & expand & do awesome. I too own a small business so I understand .God bless your family & your business.Thank you...
Read moreWe have been looking for that go-to, family-friendly, moderate-priced, creative menu place near our house for years now. I believe I can now safely say that this fast casual restaurant may at last be it. From the street (FM 407 in Argyle) it looks like a prefab building that might house a feed store. The small Little Joe’s sign gives no clue what is just on the other side of the building. It is a wonderful restaurant with bright white open spacing for plenty of people and a giant patio of seating. As stated to start, Joe’s is fast casual with a large board describing all of the meals. For our food on this Saturday at lunchtime we ordered Chicken Enchiladas, two Santa Barbara Taco Salads (one beef and one chicken) an Alys Beach Sandwich and a macaroni and cheese from the kid’s menu. Every single one of the entrees was huge and each of us adults ate half of what we ordered and had another full meal with the other half. I thought my chicken taco salad was exceptional, and filled with chicken. The light dressing on the side was perfect. My wife had enchiladas and they would stand up as competition to any Tex-Mex restaurant we have visited. The Beach Sandwich, meanwhile, was amazing and filled with Grilled chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes, basil pesto, goat cheese, arugula, kalamata olives, served on grilled sourdough bread. And it even came with a generous side of tomato basil soup. The soft drinks are served in their bottles, which is not something I prefer above fountain drinks. The mint lemonade is a single serving from behind the counter. The iced tea is self-serve, but with only glass glasses, not take away. So, the beverage service is the only real item that I didn’t love. And, I must admit that the meals took longer than I would have expected and not all at once (spread out over about 5 minutes from first to arrive to last to arrive. It has not been open that long and it was jammed, so there are likely some kinks. But, still enough to generate a highly regarded 4 stars, bordering on 5 stars. I can see us...
Read moreMy wife and I just found this place and will definitely return. There was a little confusion on where to enter but once we did the layout was easy to navigate. You order and pay at the counter as you enter. Prices are elevated but not too bad. You are given a number to place on your table so the staff can find you when your food is ready. We were treated with big smiles and welcomes as we entered. The inside was refreshing and clean. We found a seat at a large family style table. You should know that a lot of the seating seemed to be family style. This means that if the place is packed, you may be sharing a table with other people or groups. I could be wrong about this though as it was our first time here. The food came quickly and was presented well. We both had burgers but my wife got one with mushrooms and bacon and I opted for a more standard burger with cheese. The burgers were quite good even though mine was a tad dry. The onion rings were delicious although, for the price, I had hoped for a few more than were delivered. What knocked me off my seat was one of the dipping sauces that came with our food. Not sure what it was but it was close to a jalapeño buttermilk. It was DELICIOUS! The atmosphere was busy and a bit loud in the open area we sat in but not too overwhelming. The interactions with staff were good. We had a great conversation with a man who I think was the owner. He was warm, inviting and down to earth. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of our food but will definitely take pics the next time we go. Overall a great experience with great food. We will go...
