If I could give a 0 star review, I would. The owner (female) was having a conversation with a young busboy loud enough that we could hear. I understand that you have to have conversations with employees; however kindness goes a long way and you don’t know what this young man is dealing with in his personal life. I have never owned a restaurant: however I have managed them. 1). You should be having conversations privately away from customers and other employees. 2). You were very negative you told him everything he is doing wrong then some. 3). You then took it a step further and threatened his job. Step back and think a minute, if that was you in that young man’s shoes, and you were told what you told him, do you think that you would want to do better? I would be thinking no matter what I do it is not good enough for her and she is going to fire me anyways. How about if you see him struggling with bussing why don’t you help him!!! Show him that you care about him succeeding and show him best practices. Sometimes it takes someone to catch on longer than someone else that starts in that position. I wanted to confront you about the way you treated this young man. But instead I went to HIM and told him that he is an awesome person to keep his head up and that he will be alright. When I was speaking to him YOU stopped and listened to what I was saying to HIM and then spoke loudly negatively about how you had been giving him 2 weeks. Well u should have just kept walking because I spoke to him the way I would have wanted to be spoken to. You are a very negative, judgemental person. How about you speak to your employees the way you want to be spoken to. Or better yet speak to them the way you would want someone speaking to your children. It takes less energy to be kind than ugly. There are only so many you can hire before no one will want to work for you. I told myself I would never again eat at your establishment after st Pattie’s day when I found a hair wrapped around my potatoes and cold meat. I gave you another chance! Just goes to show that I will not be back. Since you have taken over the food has gone down hill and the atmosphere isn’t any better. I truly hope that this just gives u some insight and that you learn from this experience. If your husband was in a meeting in the office you could have waited to have that...
Read moreI've been eating here with my family since I was a little girl. Now that I have a family of my own I'd love to bring them here, only problem is the attitude/service from the wait staff has gone down significantly. My husband says the food is great but everytime we eat here he leaves in a bad mood because of the attitude of the wait staff (and we're NEVER rude or curt to those in the service industry so we certainly don't deserve it) and it's been more than one server. I'm not sure if it's age descrimination, since we're usually one of the only couples in our thirties...sure hope not.
If the owner reads this, I'd really like to convince my husband to give you guys another chance so I can bring my family here like when I was a little girl. If you could simply bring this issue up in the next team meeting....just ask the servers to please not treat their customers like they're a bother/not welcome, and to have a friendlier demeanor. We're all human but when you work customer service you simply can't wear your bad attitude to work. Thank you!
UPDATE: We tried going there this weekend, Saturday afternoon. We were standing there waiting to be seated, the waitress (an older woman-late 50s short blonde hair) saw us but didn't acknowledge us untill an older couple came in about 15 mins after us, she almost immediately seated them, then almost dismissively said to us "she'll be with you shortly"- assuming she's referring to another waitress? We ended up just leaving, we felt unwanted and unwelcome. Why couldn't she have seated us? And regardlessly we had been there first patiently waiting. Felt like blatant age...
Read moreWhoever Dane is that gave the review saying the manager is cranky, I would like to add she is also not very smart. I have eaten here once before & eaten in the back room Bar listening to music. All 3 of these times were bad service. I don't plan to go back as long as she is GM. Bad service usually exists where there isn't enough competition & this is the case. When I asked the waitress what kind of lettuce the salad has & I didn't want iceberg, my waitress told me she would substitute the spring mix for spinach since she said the salad has mostly iceberg lettuce (which we know has no nutritional value). When she brought me the salad it wasn't spinach at all. When I mentioned it she said they didn't have any spinach. Although I kept my cool, I was flabbergasted that I was brought a plate of food I didn't order & they think that is O.K.?! Then she didn't refill my empty glass so I had enough & asked the clean up girl if I could talk to the highest person in charge. She got the owner who listened & we were having a logical conversation until the GM came. I suspect she was in on the deceitful salad because the second she opened her mouth & said, "in defense of the waitress"....I told her "I couldn't hear a word she was saying." There is no defense when a customer is served something they didn't order. The waItress could have told me they didn't have it & would I like something else. The GM is so ignorant, I wouldn't be surprised if she told the waitress to serve it as is without telling me. After the GM opened her mouth she made me so mad I told them I couldn't finish my...
