My aunt and I went there for dinner on 4/21. It was our first time there. There was no one to greet us or a sign saying if we should wait to be seated. We asked 3 employees who passed us if we should seat ourselves or left. We got no response. We noted open seats and booths in the two dining rooms. When an employee finally approached us, we were informed that they had no seating available. No mention how long a wait to expect. Just that there were no seats. Again, there were open tables and booths. The employee finally seated us in the bar. The food was subpar at best. Our entire meal was ruined by three loud bar customers who talked about doing drugs, getting arrested, etc. After the meal I asked to speak with the manager. I explained the greeting and seating issues. No apology offered. The only seating justification we were given is that they do not seat anyone in the center row of tables in the first dining room. (Tables pictured.) However, the manager later said that we could have been seated at the center tables had we asked. I don’t know how we were supposed to know that….
It’s beyond shameful that this is how a 92 year old wheelchair bound senior citizen customer was treated. Not allowed to sit in the dining rooms and put in a tiny bar. It’s sad that they have no process for greeting customers. It’s incomprehensible that a restaurant refuses to seat people at...
Read morePoor, poor, poor service. Dinner came with attitude. My fiance ordered a super burrito with sour cream and guacamole on the side. He was about ¼ way through the burrito when he discovered sour cream and guacamole inside the burrito. I flagged the waitress down and told her it wasn't right. I said he ordered it on the side, not inside. She nodded and said yes (like yes, that's what he got). I said no on the side, not inside, again. She nodded and said yes. She showed me her book that she wrote inside. I told her she misheard me. She went to get another waitress who spoke better English . The 2nd waitress proceeded to tell me it's the same thing (on the side and inside?! I don't think so!) . She said he ate most of it. He did not. The majority was still on the plate. Again, she said it was the same thing and walked away. They ignored our table for several minutes and finally came back and asked what we wanted. I said, "Take it off the bill." They finally came back with the check, and they did indeed take it off the bill. We were explaining to the 2nd waitress the miscommunication, and the shift leader was walking by and, with attitude, said we took it off, so it doesn't matter now. Wow! The lunch crew has never screwed up like this. With attitude like this and very poor service, it makes me never want to eat there again, which is too bad because they have...
Read moreUpdate: The perfectly-seasoned shrimp fajitas are back! The salsa is nummy but the chips are very big-bag generic. Several of our group were disappointed to find that the enchiladas had totally tasteless chicken that seemed to be boiled only. It could have used some of the shrimp fajita seasoning. One of the adults actually boxed up her portion and ordered another dish, suspecting her children might eat it due to its blandness.
We have a large local family (20) and, since they don't take reservations (why?) we called 2 days ahead to advise that we would be coming for an early lunch. They had the table all set for us (at least most of us) but we only had one blond waitress who was slow (understandable) and snarky (not understandable).] It took a half hour to start having our orders taken and another 45 min to have them served. We waited another half hour after finishing for our bills to even be processed so that, all in all it was a 2.5 hour lunch. Our waitress never asked about dessert or offered take-home containers. Our grandsons finally found some of the latter in a cupboard and passed them out. We have been restaurant secret shoppers in our younger days and have a feel for what to expect. May we suggest they staff better and teach the blond some attitude skills? Keep the shrimp...
