When we walked in there was a sign that said "Please wait to be seated", we were the first in the door and two other couples followed. The hostess bypassed us (walked right by us as if we were invisible and greeted the couples, not together, behind us) and seated the two other couples before even acknowledging us. We learned quickly that majorities of participants are regulars and from nearby retirement communities. We fit right in age wise but didn't live in the communities nor were we regulars. It was our first time visiting the area. A bit surprised how we were intentionally ignored as we watched the hostess seat two other couples before us, but since we are forgiving people we thought maybe the food is worthwhile!? We were eventually seated in a tiny little both with torn seats. We ordered the avocado spread on toast and biscuit and gravy. I was expecting the avocado on toast to look and taste like the one I order at FirstWatch restaurant, but instead I got a slice of bread with sliced avocado đ„ on it. And half of the avocado was rotten. đŹ I peeled the rotten part away. The bacon was burnt and flaked all over the plate when picking it up. The eggs didn't taste right either. The biscuits and gravy were very bland and had no thickness or taste to the gravy whatsoever other than flour. Our waitress never returned to our table for refills or asked how everything was. A different waitress showed up to give us the bill once she took notice we were standing and ready to leave. Our bill showed different prices vs the menu. đł We were charged higher fees vs menu prices, and when we went to pay the cashier added an additional $1 for using credit cards to our already overcharged bill. We visited this place Sunday prior to this post. We don't ever plan to return- due to mishaps, lack of care thereof, unfriendliness (not regulars), and bland food. We give it a two star because it's a nice set up and the nearby retirees and communities obviously finacially support it, although, it's in dire need of attention and overhaul on staff, consistency, management, menu, ownerships, cooks, and betterment idea's decoratively and...
Read more07/01/23 I thought I would give this place a try. It looked very cozy inside now. Had not been here since the new owner took over and changed the name. We walked in. Someone told us to seat ourselves and so we did. A couple came in behind us seated themselves and a server came right to them. After that server had taken their drink, order brought their drinks and taken their food order. He then came to us to take our drink order. He brought us our drinks very quickly and we waited on our food. It came in a timely manner. It actually looked very good. We had sausage and gravy and breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was as expected but the sausage biscuit was like a hockey puck. With a small portion of some kind of gravy water over it. The gravy had a meat that was supposed to be sausage but like none I've ever seen. And the flavor was less than desired. The server never came back. We flagged someone down to get my companion some water. Later flag down our server for a box for half of the breakfast burrito. The server noted the plate of uneaten gravy biscuit asked if a box was needed and he was told no. He inquired no further. When we informed the cashier on the way out about the service and the quality of food she said we should have told the server and then we pointed out to her that he never returned. She made no further comment. Cashed us out and said hope to see you again soon. She was flatly told that won't...

I had high hopes coming back here. Last year, I visited several times and was pleasantly surprisedâa real step up from the previous place. But this time, it missed the mark.
The waitress was excellentâfriendly, efficient, brought coffee and water quickly. But the water glass had a cloudy film inside, not condensation. To her credit, she apologized and brought a fresh one right away.
The food was the bigger letdown. The waffle was limp and soggyâmore like a pancake. The bacon looked like it had been sitting for hours: dark, dry, and brittle. I mentioned it quietly, and the waitress later told me she took half off the bill. Class act. I tipped her 15%.
Then at the register, I was charged the full amount. The cashier miscalculated the discount until the waitress stepped in again. When I asked for change to leave her a proper tip, I realized the cashier was in full chef attire. I joked, âYouâre not the chef, are you?â He said, âI actually am.â
Not the way I wanted to start my morning. I wonât be back anytime soon, but I give full credit to the waitressâshe was the best part...
