I couldn't have been more disappointed in this hotel. I thought that Best Westerns had a good reputation so this is the reason I chose this hotel in Green Valley, however the first room I was given keys to hadn't been cleaned in the bathroom and there were no towels and I always check things out but even the countertop was extremely dirty, literally nothing was washed, so I had the clerk from the front desk come up and take a look and he agreed that it was very dirty and had not been cleaned so he got me keys to another room which was equally as dirty. The toilet had not been cleaned at all there were half the amount of towels that were supposed to be there and you can just tell that there was no attention to detail and the mirror had not been cleaned at all and there were hairs in the tub and sink. My frustration level was very high by the time I got the third room and it was still not clean at all there was mold all in the shower, there were hairs in the tub and sink and there was urine on the back of the toilet you can tell that whoever has been in charge of cleaning these rooms has not been cleaning the rooms and I felt very uncomfortable in that room but it was getting late and we had traveled a long distance to be there so we settled on this disgusting room but I felt like I overpaid and I should not have had to feel that uncomfortable in this space. Nobody really enjoys being that person who complains but I was legitimately uncomfortable in this room and I should have complained again and I should not have accepted such a dirty room. There's no way I would stay there again and now my trust level for Best Western Hotels is in the dumps. I don't know that I would ever choose another Best Western Hotel because of this experience. Then they have this full breakfast scam that was actually inedible.. I truly want a refund. This entire experience was so unprofessional. I own a vacation rental. I can't imagine renting out my home to someone who found that level of Filth or even a percentage of it. The other Hotel options in this town did not look appealing either and if you need to stay in Green Valley I recommend that you don't and that you find something in Tucson that has...
Read moreI stay here twice a year, 2 or 3 nights at a time. I think I'm at 7 stays now. However, the last 4 times I asked for a certain room in advance. I even offered a backup room option. And I have never once gotten either room. They have told me I can reserve a room, and then when I get there, I am told it was already taken. This last time, I made the reservation with the front desk directly a month in advance and gave them my room request. I called the day before and was assured they were available. Then, when I checked in, they said both those rooms were rented out earlier that day. Honestly, the only reason I stayed is because I was dropped off and didn't have a ride. This was a weekend and the manager wasn't in, so I waited until Monday (which was Labor Day) to see if he was at work that day and was told he was there but in an important conference call. Since I was leaving early Tuesday morning, I spoke with the person at the front desk (who I believe is the assistant manager). She said they assign rooms the day of check-in, and they can't help it if people are already in those rooms. I informed her that I reserved the rooms a month in advance. I was informed the day before check-in that both those rooms were available. And at check-in, I was told they were filled that day. Then she just said she would bring it to the manager's attention. Basically, what they always say. So I just ended the conversation. She did write down my full name, so I waited over a week, hoping someone would reach out to me. But that never happened.
I have no problem with them saying they aren't set up to reserve specific rooms. But to keep saying they can, then not doing it and then telling me conflicting stories to cover is not acceptable. Four times now, and there was no follow-up or apology. It's totally...
Read moreRead this before booking. And keep in mind 2 nights was $400. NOT WORTH THE PRICE: We were immediately greeted with the smell of mothballs and a very dark and dingy entryway. The pros are, my name was on the reservation board which was a warmer welcome than the smell, and the lady checking us in was very nice and knowledgeable. There is an attached restaurant to the hotel which is very convenient and the food is good and this is where you get your free breakfast by 9:30am. the cons, walking to our room we were still greeted with the odd smell and dingy halls. Got to our room and it also had a faint smell of cleaning product and cat urine. Kind of weird, no indicator there was pets there. maybe a previous tenant. Anyway, the room didn’t really look like what i saw online or any other best western i’ve stayed at. which was disappointing.. The room seemed again sad and a little suffocating. The bathroom was the absolute worst i’ve ever seen in a hotel. Besides the fresh linens- It clearly hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. The shower was bad. spots of mold, boogers on the inside of shower curtain, as well as on the wall close to the hand towel.. the grout inside the shower had clearly never been cleaned and how it looks is a result of being neglected over time. The grout from the view of the toilet is even better, huge dirt dust bunny cracks and black caulking from not being taken care of. the blow dryer had a layer of dust again, showing it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Oh, and above the shower there is severe water damage and something that looks like a security camera to say we didn’t feel cozy is an understatement. Other pros: The bed sheets and linens were clean and wifi was good enough for...
