If you're visiting Hot Springs, make this your very first stop. Like, don’t even unpack your bags—just go.

Trust me, get the punch card. You'll think, “Surely we won’t come back every day…” Oh, but you will. You’ll be plotting your next visit before you even finish what you got.

We had 8 people in our group—4 adults and 4 sugar-fueled children—and everyone found something they loved. Even our pickiest eater found a Cherry Italian Ice she liked.

Shout-out to the cool dude behind the window, who recommended the apple pie ice cream waffle sandwich. It was a blissful experience. I saw a bald eagle cry.

(Note: My wife found out they don't have chocolate waffles anymore, RIP to that beautiful mint chocolate chip dream.)

We are visiting Hot Springs from Fort Worth. First off, the owner was working and he was incredibly kind and understanding of our kids which I appreciated. The treats were so good. My husband had the Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich with German Chocolate filling, I had the key lime pie ice cream and we looooved ours! My kids had the bubble gum, grape and watermelon Italian Ices and they thought they were delicious. My husband came back the next day and got the Peach Italian Ice and it was really good. This spot is more expensive than most traditional italian ice places. A dollar extra to mix flavors is absolutely absurd! I must have been to dozens of italian ice places in my lifetime and depending on the size, you can select a certain amount of flavors which is included into the price. The young girl working the register doesn't make you aware of the charge so just read the board carefully. I liked the flavors I chose but the cost and the extra charge will prevent me from returing or recommending this...
