The Hamilton — Hotel in Hot Springs

Me and my Husband reserved the room from Friday night July 20th to Monday July 23rd. We asked for a late check in and They left the key for us but left a note saying that we must be checked in the following day before 11 AM. The office hours are stated on the door from 9 AM until 7 PM. I get to the office a little before nine and I waited, 9 o’clock comes around and I called and the lady answered the phone and couldn’t hear me. She comes to the office and let me in and says we don’t open till nine and my response was yeah I know it’s after nine. The room was pretty nice a little small for the money that you have to spend. Checked out Monday morning got home and realize I had left a pair of $50 capris and a $30 top in the drawer under the TV in my room. I make sure that me and my husband go through all of our laundry from the weekend to make sure I didn’t mis-place them and we could not find them. I called the inn at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning to see if they had any clothes turned in. She said she would check and call me back. Well at 11 o’clock she had not returned my call so I called her again. She said she went and looked and asked the housekeepers but of course nobody knows where my $80 worth of clothes are at. And she called me a liar saying we have people call all the time and say they forgot stuff when they really haven’t! I assured her that I checked all through my luggage and all through my laundry before I called! And she said sorry there’s nothing we can do about it! I have stayed here before but this will be THE LAST TIME I will ever stay here! Quite naturally I was upset and she hung up on me. I had my husband call her back and she was very rude to him as well! I would not recommend staying here because if you forget anything you are...

It was a beautiful property and I had a nice, relaxing stay for two nights in August of 2021. If I had to pick on anything, it'd be that there weren't enough hangers in the closet and the mechanism to activate the shower was "hidden" underneath the faucet. It took me 5-10 minutes to figure out how to activate the shower because I had never seen a faucet pull like the one in Unit 22. Once I figured out how to pull on the circle underneath the faucet, the shower worked well and there was plenty of shower pressure. The bedding, sheets and pillows were clean. I didn't use the pillows because I brought my own. The bed was comfortable and the window a/c unit worked well. There was a microwave, mini fridge, two burner cook-top and coffee maker. There were a few complimentary coffee pods but I didn't use them as I brought my own. There was some sugar and powdered creamer in the cabinet, but I brought my own. Unit # 22 is a quiet end unit on the 2nd floor and it had nice lake views and sunrise views. Property manager was nice on the phone and sent me an email explaining everything, including the door code, before my arrival. The cleaning staff was friendly and hard working. I stayed in the property because I was in Hot Springs for a weekend wedding and it was central to everywhere I needed to be. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it. HOW DARE THEY SAY THIS IS A 2 STAR HOTEL! This is NOT a 2 star hotel- I would like to know what qualifiers indicate these ratings!

We arrived at 9:30 and wasn’t able to find a front desk. OOPS! I forgot to check my email- this property has virtual check in WHICH IS AWESOME because you don’t have to mess with checking in at a front desk. I was sent an email the day before with the details needed to easily access my room. The problem was I didn’t have access to my email so I frantically called the number to the Hamilton and of course it went to voicemail- because it was 9:30…. However- I immediately received a call and a text and a man patiently walked me through getting access to my room. There are no keys which is awesome!

I was so pleased when we entered the room and saw the aesthetics! These rooms are so tastefully decorated and so clean and up to date. I couldn’t have been more thrilled…..until I saw our view! This place deserves more than a 2 star hotel rating- it is fantastic!

There is ample storage- even an area off the deck for storing outdoor stuff! The appliances are great and we have pots and pans and plates and really everything we need to make dinner.

The deck is right below our room and we were able to go night swimming! We just layed on our floats and stared at the stars and it was beautiful!

The other guests here are great as well- no rowdy crowds just people like us wanting to have a nice vacay.

I can’t say enough good about the Hamilton- I can tell you I wouldn’t stay...
